As we stood there watching the scene before us my brother's body began to tremble and his shoulders shook with eyes moist from unshed tears. Angel has never been one to show any kind of emotions until the day Bianca walked into our lives. The minute the doctor opened the door and told us my best friend and sister-in-law fell into a coma I knew it was time to make Destiny tell me where her mother was. That much I could do for Bianca, it was time time to bring her family here now.

I stepped out into the hallway and dialed Brian's phone number as soon as he picked up and uttered those words Bianca is in a coma all you could hear was screams from the other side. Eddy came on to the line saying they would be out on the next plane over to be with Angel during his time of need. Me on the other hand while Angel was at the hospital with his wife and children. Now I had to head back home to confront Destiny and make her tell me where their mother was hiding at.

Parking my car in the garage I called Casey and made him bring Destiny into the living room. Shortly after Destiny entered the room with Casey shoving her from behind.

Vince what's wrong where did everybody go?

"Destiny I'm going to ask you an important question and I want the truth. Don't act stupid or even think about lying to me about it. Where is your mother staying at right now?"

"Why do you want to know all of a sudden Vince?"

"Come on Destiny don't screw with me right now. Too much is at stake for you to be playing these games damn it. Bianca is laying in a coma after giving birth to twin boys. Now tell me where in the hell your mother is hiding!"

I know the tone of my tone shook her, but I don't have time to play any of her games. My sister laying in the hospital bed is more important than this woman's cagey smile. All I could do was glare at her this was taking too damn long. So I did the next best thing. Walking over to her, I grabbed her purse and pulled her phone out. It wasn't long after that I found the number I needed.

I pressed send and dialed the number within seconds a woman's soft voice came across the line. "Destiny what's wrong, you don't normally call me."

"Hello Joyce, you don't know me but my mother was your best friend a long time ago. I'm calling you to let you know your daughter Bianca is laying in a coma and really needs her mother."

"Who is this how did you get Destiny's phone?" Joyce spoke quietly into the phone.

"Like I just said, my mother was your best friend. Don't worry about how I got the phone. Just get your butt to the hospital I'm sending the address now. If you want a chance at being a part of your daughter's life, then this is it. But I warn you my brother may flip the hell out on you."

Now I've done my part in trying to get Joyce to see Bianca. Everything short of going and picking her up, which, knowing my brother when he finds out, I called his wife's mother shits going to hit the fan and my head along with it. "It might be a good idea to call Angel and warn him so he doesn't get a sudden surprise," Casey muttered behind me.

Casey raises a valid point: if I don't want my brother swinging on his mother-in-law, then I better call him. Before heading out the door once again, I told Casey to lock Destiny up. Grabbing my car keys, I got in my car and started it. I put my phone on speaker and dialed my brother's number. Angel answered the phone and I could tell he needed someone else to be there with him. Not wanting to keep him on the call that long, I informed him that Bianca's mother and her family were on the way.

Hopefully, it didn't take me long to get back to the hospital. Someone needs to be there who can keep Angel from falling off on his mother-in-law. Especially with his wife in a coma and the babies needing him. The last thing he needs right now is to land in jail for assaulting someone at the hospital. Without sparing a glance toward the people already crowding the hospital hallways, I made my way to Bianca's hospital room and, thus, to my waiting brother.

Upon entering the room, I scanned it first to see if Bianca's family had even arrived. To my good luck, nobody had made it here yet. I was just in time to play referee if need be. Near the bed, were two tiny see-through baby cribs. I tipped over quietly and peered down at the sleeping bundles of joy. As I stared at these tiny beings, my eyes misted over. I couldn't believe my brother was a father. He finally made my mother's wish come true, even though she isn't here to see it.

The yelling that was happening in the hallway soon disrupted the comfortable silence of the hospital room. Angel glanced over at me and told me to water my nephews. He didn't have to ask me twice. From the day Bianca found out she was to have his children, I made it my duty to watch over and protect these two little boys with my life. The voice kept getting closer Angel stepped out of the room just in time to prevent them from entering.

"What is all this screaming about? There are people in this hospital who need quiet. Especially my wife and my children, so shut those big ass mouths of yours."

"Angel, your brother called us and told us Bianca was in a coma. Is that true?" Came a woman's voice. She was kind of loud, if you ask me, even after my brother told all of them to shut the hell up.

"Seriously, why would you even ask that? My brother would never lie about something like this? By the way, who the hell are you?"

"I'm Joyce, her mother," the woman said.

"So, the mysterious mother finally returns. Why show up after all this time? You've been alive this entire time and haven't once tried to reach out. What did you think now that Bianca can't confront or see you, this was the perfect time to show up?"

"Give me a chance to explain Angel, don't do this for me but do it for Bianca."

"Ok, you got 30 minutes and you better make the best of that time because as far as I'm concerned that's all you get mother in law or not."

"Look when I was pregnant with Bianca, I did tell her father thinking he would help me and be there for her. I never dreamed his family would try to kill me for the child. After the attack, I woke up in the hospital and the doctors called in the US Marshalls. I was put into hiding because her father's family is bad news and would succeed in killing me for sure next time. See I found some things out about the family when I went to see him. They have connections to the Russian mob and were smuggling guns into Canada, I also overheard about the massacre of a family who was related to a member of the FBI."

If what Joyce is saying then I just put my whole family in danger by having her show up here. God Damn it I can win for losing I thought I was helping my brother and his wife out but no I put a bullseye on their house and children.

Author Note

Told ya!!! Finally, Bianca's mother makes an appearance. Bet you didn't think she would have been in witness protection all this time. Why hide it from her daughter regardless of the issue I would have tried come hell or high water to find my missing daughter.
