We had all arrived back at the house and gone our separate ways. The men took off to Angel's office while I decided on a nice, long soak in my hot tub. As I was walking upstairs, I could hear a slight noise from behind the first door on my right. I paused slowly, opening the door, not sure what I would find in there.
I couldn't believe who I saw sitting there handcuffed to the bed. "Destiny, why are you being held in here like a prisoner?"
Not waiting for her to answer, I turn around and stormed down to Angel's office. Grabbing the closet thing handy, I hit Vince on the back of the head. Glaring at everyone, I asked my husband, "What in the hell is going on?"
"Why is Destiny in the guest room handcuffed to the bed?"
Vince shifted in his seat and glanced over at Angel "you see, Bianca it's like this. When you went into labor I went to Destiny's house and found a picture of your mother sitting on her desk."
Throwing my hands up in the air I said, "that still doesn't explain why you would keep her locked up like a prisoner."
Glaring at Vince and Angel, "how can you blame someone for what happened when she was a child. Destiny isn't to blame for my mother hiding and keeping shit from her own daughters."
With both their mouths hanging open I walked over to the desk and opened the drawer beside Angel's leg, pulling out the keys he had stashed in there. I turned and ran back upstairs. Once I had reached Destiny's door, I stopped to catch my breath. Lord knows I didn't want to barge in the room like a madwoman. When I was sure my mind and heart were calm, I pushed the door open and made my way to where my best friend and sister sat cuffed to the bed. Stomping over to Destiny I grabbed her arms and unlocked her cuffs.
Now that she was free her eyes begin to water. Why is she crying? This mess isn't her fault. Tweddle Dee and Tweddle Dumb shouldn't have taken it out on Destiny like they did. It's not like she had any control over the conniving witch of a woman, who just happens to be my mother, and the things she did.
With my arm draped around her neck we went back down to the private office where the men were working. I pushed the door open, walked over and grabbed a few files off Angel's desk. Sitting here going through the files was tiring, but I needed to know what happened during my egg donor's disappearance and the reason behind my son's kidnapping.
One set of papers in the files got my attention the information pertained to her involvement with the US Marshalls. During the time she was pregnant with me the woman had gotten mixed up with the wrong crowd dealing drugs, printing fake dollar bills and so much more. There was a photo of my parents during his time in the military. The look on my father's face as he watched her had me questioning what happened the day I was born.
Everyone told me my father killed her the day she gave birth to me. But the love that shown in his eyes told a different story. While looking at the file I grabbed my phone and called my father. I hadn't talked to him since he kidnapped me a few years ago when he tried to make me leave Angel and return home with him.
Shortly after I heard my fathers voice come on the line. "Dad, before you say anything I have a question I need you to answer. What happened between you and my mother? Why did people say you killed her and kidnapped me?"
"Bianca, why are you asking about this all of a sudden?"
"Dad, will you just answer the damn question? I have a right to know what really happened back then."
"Okay, I will tell you the story then. Back when I first met your mother I was in the military and stationed in Italy. She was the sweetest girl who had ever crossed my path. We would meet up ever time my unit would be on shore leave. One day I saw her with a group of men standing on the dock."
Flashback
After my squad leader dismissed us for leave, we left base and walked down to town. I noticed my girl standing with a group of strange men. As I approached her I caught the tail end of their conversation. Joyce, that shipment comes in today and I need you to take it to the warehouse to cut and get ready for distribution. Don't fuck this up like last time. You lost my drugs, and the guns even my damn money. This is your last chance!
By this time Joyce was I already pregnant with my daughter Bianca. The last time we seen each other was the night of the raid and Bianca had been targeted for being a snitch. The same group of people she once called friends were the very ones to beat her and left Joyce for dead. My friends who were out in town that night came running back to base telling me what happened I ran all the way to Joyce just in time for her to give birth to my daughter.
End of Flashback
"Bianca, I'm telling you the truth I didn't lay a hand on your mother. Yes, I did take you when I seen you laying there. What father wouldn't, no man wants to think his child could die. The scene was crawling with cops I was cleared to take you back to the states with me. My parents helped me raise you until the day I got I married then your stepmother started to raise you as her own. Granted she did some things I wasn't proud of, but I was young at the time. I can't make up for the years of abuse you suffered at her hands."
Sitting here listening to the story my father told was telling me made my throat tighten up "dad, she kidnapped my son I have no clue where she took him."
The next words my father said to me was "I'm on my way, Bianca" warmed my heart. We may have our differences. But knowing my son was kidnapped by his ex-girlfriend even he wanted to help find them.
