Now with our little boys finally reunited, everything has calmed down mostly. Our life here can continue. Some people may believe that a child should always respect, love, and honor their parents. But for me, this is not the case. When you find out your own parents don't want you or would rather hurt you than be a parent. You lose all hope and slowly fall into a pit of despair.
I turned away from my toxic family and choose a new family instead. Some might say blood is thicker than water, but that's not the case for me. Just because you are born into the same family does not make you kin. Family is what you make for yourself. If it hadn't been for meeting Vince all those years ago, I wouldn't be where I am today.
Through Vince, I was able to meet his parents and brother Angel. Without them, I wouldn't have the family I have today. The Rodriquez family showed me what love and family really could be, and what it meant to be there for one another. With that thought heavy in my mind, tears fell down my cheek. I gently wiped my wet eyes. Not wanting Angel to catch me crying, he already had enough to deal with. Right now, our primary focus needed to be on the family business.
With Angel up to his eyeballs in financial account documents, he didn't hear the commotion at the front door. Or if he had heard it, he didn't pay any mind to what was going on. So, I had to see what was going on outside. Good thing I went outside when I did because I couldn't believe what was going on. Julian and his sister Mia were standing in the middle of the driveway yelling at each other.
"Mia, just because you may have gotten Vince's attention during the rescue mission does not mean you're dating him. Who told you to bring these many suitcases with you? It's not like you're moving in here," Julian guffawed.
I parked myself on the top step of the porch and watched the scene unfold in front of me, scratching the side of my head in confusion. Oh, no the hell they aren't. I turned around and yanked the front door open, yelling up the stairs for my nitwit of a brother, "Vince, get your crackbrained ass downstairs right now!"
Seconds later, you could hear footsteps on the stairs followed by a yawning Vince sticking his head out the door. "What is all the ruckus about Bianca? You're screaming your head off like a banshee!"
"You nutcase, do you see what's standing beside Mia? Since when did you two start a romantic involvement with each other?"
"That's for me to know and for you to mind your own business."
"Julian, my brother is in his office going over paperwork if you want to talk to him. And you dear sister-in-law, get someone to help take their suitcases to their rooms."
I eyed Vince it was obvious he had just lost his mind. "Don't you have two arms and legs? Take Mia's stuff up to her room by yourself. I have kids to take care of right now."
Per my instructions, Vince took Mia and their belongings up to their separate bedrooms. If one goes by the sneaky looks between the two of them, you could tell she would end up in his room before nightfall. Who knew a simple rescue mission would turn into a love match between them? From the bottom of the staircase, Julian and I watched Vince walk up the steps with his arm draped across Mia's back.
As the two of them made their way upstairs Vince stopped midway up the steps and tugged Mia flushed against his side. His fingers ever so slowly slid down the side of Mia's face. Mia stared up into Vince's eyes with a timid smile on her lips. Vince lowered his head and touched Mia's lips with his own. The tender look they had in their eyes for each other reminded me of the way I felt for Angel all those years ago. I still feel that way even now. Every time I glance his way, my heart sends me on a fresh adventure.
Not wanting to be caught watching him like a creep, I poked Julian in his side and motioned for him to follow me to Angel's office. When we entered the office, I pointed back behind me, "Honey, look who came to visit."
Angel raised his head from the files on his desk. "About time you got here. Grab a chair from the table and a couple of these folders. So, you can help me dig through this crapshoot."
Julian grabbed a few of the folders and began to shift through the information pertained in those folders. A few seconds passed when his eyebrows arched. He turned his head to look over at Angel and folded his arms smiling like a Cheshire cat. "Hey, Angel, how many men do we have here at the house?"
"Why what did you find?" Angel asked Julian with his eyes still glued to his computer screen.
"You, know the man who helped kidnap Aries? Well, take a guess at what I got right here in my hand?" Julian shouted while waving the folder in the air over his head.
After hearing it was information about the man who had a hand in kidnapping Aries. My husband's head shot up rather rapidly. "Don't tell me!"
"You guessed it every location of this man's warehouses and dates when his latest shipments are coming in."
I glanced at both men in the room "who all want to do a little shopping?"
"Alright, Bianca while we get the men situated down here. You go up and grab my brother."
I turned and headed out the door but not before looking back at Julian and muttering I hope "Vince isn't too busy."
I took the stairs two at a time stopping outside Vince's room I banged on the door. Of course, I found Mia with her eyes closed, mouth slightly open moaning softly. Vince had his head down between her thighs licking her clit. Not a sight I wanted to see. "You two better hurry up and get downstairs Angel wants you."
Any other normal man would scream at someone for interrupting him. Vince was different he just held his hand up giving me the ok sign. He didn't even take his mouth off her all he did was push his tongue further into her tight clit.
Not wanting to be a party to what he was doing to her I turned and ran back down to Angel's office.
"Next time one of you two idiots go get him. And I'll take care of stuff downstairs. Do you have any idea what I walked into, and he didn't even stop?"
Julian and Angel began to laugh chaotically "it's not funny you two the dipshit didn't even try to stop."
