Chapter 20

Author Update 

Yaaayyyyyy!!!! Another chapter uploaded for you guys. Bet you didn't see that coming.  This chapter was a joy to write. While working on it I listened to songs by BTS. But the main two songs for this chapter that really got my thought process going were the songs, Dreamer and Astronaut by Jung Kook and Jin. I just loved these two songs so much. But truth be told we all know every song BTS comes out with has a deeper meaning and touches us in more ways than we think.

As I watched my beloved daughter run into the open arms of her birth father, my heart thundered in my ears. When I prepared to turn around and leave them for a little private time. A firm grip stopped me in my tracks. Glancing over my shoulder, I grimaced at the hand resting on it. No need for you to leave. "I know she is my biological daughter, but you rescued her and raised her. I'll owe you in my next life." Her father said as he bowed down in front of me.

Bia Zhao Xing next statement shocked us all. Both of you men are my fathers. "One gave birth to me and raised me until 5 years old and, through no fault of his own, couldn't watch me grow up. The other rescued me during my darkest time. Fed me, clothe me and made sure I had a roof over my head. And gave me the love and family I was missing. If that isn't a father's love, I don't know what is."

Aries and Dante ran up to Bia Zhao Xing and her father. "Not to cut this meeting short, but don't you guys think it's a little silly to hold a family reunion in the street? Why don't we head back to the hotel?"

Bia's father was deep in conversation with the gentleman standing beside him when he looked our way and asked, "What hotel are you staying at"

"SOL Beach YangYang" responded Aries.

"Why don't we follow you guys back to make sure nobody else takes a shot at you?"

We all filed back into our waiting vehicles. With us in the lead and Bia's father following close behind us. When we made it back to the hotel, it surprised us to see the manager standing in front of the reception desk waiting for us. "Mr. Rodriquez, we have upgraded your rooms to the penthouse floor."

Angel stepped to the front of the manager, scratching his head in disbelief while the boy's lips dropped to the floor. "Wait, what happened? We didn't order a room change."

"No sir, this is free of charge. This was done by order of the CEO."

The kids jumped up and down with excitement. "Dad, Auntie Bianca, can we go up to the room now? I want to get ready to hit the pool. And remember we get to plan the boys' party tomorrow. Their birthday is this weekend. What about the wedding and engagement guys? Mia isn't even here to get married, either?"

They gave us our new room keys and Bia Zhao Xing started for the elevator with the boys hot on her trail. Angel just shook his head while watching his sons. Would it be one or both who ended up with her is the question plaguing our minds right now? When everybody else followed the kids up to the room, Lei Ming tapped me on my shoulder, then asked me to follow him to his father's office. He knocked on the door before entering the room. Sitting behind the desk in front of a massive window was an elder gentleman with salt and pepper color hair dressed in a tan suit. "Lei, what brings you into my office?" the man in front of us asked him.

Lei walked behind the desk, leaned down, and whispered something in his ear. The old man whipped his head my way and smiled at me. Whatever was told to him, he must have liked very much because he was beaming from ear to ear. The gentleman motioned for me to take a seat in one of the two chairs in front of his desk. "Vince, this is my father and Bia Zhao Xing's grandfather."

"This may hurt you, but now that we have found my granddaughter, we want to see her and spend some time with her."

I opened my mouth to reply when he held his hand up, stopping me from saying anything. "I know you rescued and brought here up as a member of your own family. But you must understand where we are coming from. She has been missing from our life for 12 years already. It's time for her to meet her birth family."
