Cora POV:The algebra questions swim in my head. I hate how long it takes me to do them.
Regardless I scribble out the final answer, just as my phone rings.
"Hey Bet-"
"CORA WHAT THE FUCK?!" Charlotte cuts me off.
"Rude. What's up?" I question.
"Get here, now! And don't think I don't know about how quick it can actually take!" She shouts. Confusion riddles my aching head. Does she have to yell so loud?
"Um, alright? I'll be there in like 15 I guess?" I say. She huffs.
"Make it 10. You have some serious explaining to do." She grits. I swallow thickly. I don't know what I did but whatever it is, she's pissed.
She hangs up. I grab my phone charger, my shoes and my jacket. I walk quickly out of my room, my phone clenched in my hand.
I wait impatiently as I take the elevator down to the cave. I almost sprint out, very much in a hurry to find someone to inform of my absence.
I race to the sparring mat to find Tim and Jason sparring together. They move gracefully but with a solid precision. I can't wait for them to notice me though.
"Hey guys!" I yell loud enough for them to hear me. They break apart and I'm thankful I'm too far away to get whacked with a staff.
"Oh, hey Cora. What up?" Tim asks casually.
"I have no idea, but I need to go to universe 2 to figure that out. Charlotte just called me freaking out." I report.
"Alright, we'll tell B. You need back up?" Jason asks.
"Thanks, but I'll be okay. It did used to be my universe after all." I say with more confidence than I have. In truth I'm panicking.
I leave shortly after that. I feel the warm rays of the Zeta tube wash over me, leaving me tingly. I emerge in the storage facility we keep it in.
Having experience by now, I pick the lock from the inside and then sneak out easily. I'm not a vigilante, but I do live with them.
I walk the kilometer to Charlotte's house, nerves eating at me the whole way. I'm shaking like a leaf as I stand on her doorstep.
Her door flies open barely a minute after I knock. She drags me inside and I almost throw a punch in surprise.
"Start talking." She demands.
"About what?! I don't know what you're pissed at me about!" I shout, mostly in fear. Charlotte Rogers is terrifying when she wants to be.
"This!" She shoves something in my face. It's a DC comic with a girl and Robin posing on the cover.
"And this is...?" I trail off, waiting for her to answer.
"You! This is you! In a comic! Saying you moved dimensions!" She shouts, obviously frustrated.
Panic crashes through me. My head spins and my hands are sweaty. I have a decision to make and it's a terrifying one.
"Let me read that." I say, much calmer than I feel. I scan through it.
It's all there. Meeting the boys, letting them stay with me, moving dimensions.
"Cora explain what that is." Charlotte says lowly. I'm only halfway through the comic.
"How much of this have you read?" I ask quietly.
"Roughly where you are now." She huffs. I nod silently. A decision has been made.
