Y/N POV
I arrived at home in Toronto. It has been a really good week so far. My parents kept saying that they are so proud of my achievements. This is how I wanted to spend my off season, just with my family. We were planning to head to Calgary for a ski trip tomorrow but that plan was out the window when my dad handed me a letter from the Canadian Government.
Dear Y/N,
Congratulations, following your achievements in motorsport this year, you are invited to our end of year athletes award ceremony hosted at Ottawa upcoming Friday. Many top Canadian athletes will be present at the ceremony and we hope to see you there!
Regards,
Sport CanadaThings seemed to just get better and better for me. I have heard about the end of year athletes award from Sport Canada but I never get to go. This was exclusively for top Canadian athletes only and for the motorsport world in Canada the last representative that get to go to this award was Lance Stroll when he got his first podium in 2017. Since then no racing drivers from Canada have attended this ceremony, I was really glad that I get to be a part of this.
I flew to Ottawa the next day so I could attend the ceremony. As I arrived at the city hall, it was very glamorous. I have never attended something like this before because I never achieved anything this big. The last big ceremony I attended was my graduation and that was it. Luckily I came prepared and dressed accordingly, a suit and tie just in case they call me up to the stage. Oh stop being silly Y/N, it's not like you will win any awards they probably just invited you here so they could mention that you won the Indy 500 and that will be it.
There were many people in this ceremony, footballers, Olympic athletes and I really struggled to fit in because I am not that well known in Canada and I am certainly not an Olympic athlete. I was still questioning why they invited me because I have never achieved what the other people achieved in the past year. I mean, Alphonso Davies won the Bundesliga, the Canadian Women's Soccer Team won the Olympic gold medal and Maxime Creapeau took the Canada Men's Soccer Team into the semi finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. All I have done was win the Formula 2 Championship and the Indy 500. It was really nothing compared to the others. However, that was what I thought when reality struck me when they started announcing the award winners until they reached Male Athlete of The Year.
Vicki Walker: And the Canadian Male Athlete of The Year goes to Y/N who won the Indy 500 and the Formula 2 Championship this year.
I couldn't believe my luck, I just won Male Athlete of The Year, this means I've beaten all the Olympic gold medalist for this award. Everyone was congratulating me as I went up on stage to receive this award. Thank god I dressed accordingly or else I would look like an absolute amateur when I received the award. I mean I already looked like an amateur after giving that terrible speech on stage because I wasn't prepared. After the speech, I went back down and drank all the wine that I could find to calm myself down and forget about the fact that I ruined my award speech.
Once they finished giving out the awards, this place turned into a little party. Everyone was congratulating everyone about their success and talking to each other. I was under the influence of alcohol right now and also struggling to fit in when two girls who I think are from the women's football team approached me while I was just stood by a table drinking some wine on my own.
???: Hey, you are Y/N right? Congratulations on the award.
Y/N: And miss you are?
???: Oh sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Julia Grosso and this is my friend Jordyn Huitema, we're both from the women's soccer team.
Y/N: Nice to meet you both.
Julia Grosso: Come on you just won Male Athlete of The Year you should join our little party.
I didn't know what I was up on my mind but I accepted the offer and went with the two very pretty ladies. It was so wrong but yet so fun, I was still under the influence of alcohol which meant I wasn't really thinking straight. I danced with the two girls for a little bit which was really fun because I don't usually get to do things like this. It felt like it was high school prom all over again and it was a feeling that I certainly missed. We continued drinking and when the slow dance part of the night started, I took the girl named Jordyn Huitema to the floor and started to slow danced with her. I was having so much fun that night until the even unfortunately came to an end.
I was supposed to be going back to the hotel for the night and then fly back to Toronto the next day. But the two girls stopped me before I left. I was really drunk out of my mind and I seriously didn't know how I was acting and why was I acting like this. But I still have enough brain power to say yes when they invited me back to their hotel for a "cup of tea to freshen myself up".
Julia Grosso: Y/N, you want to continue the fun with us back at our hotel?
Y/N: You know what? F*** it let's go.
Julia was very straight forward in asking while the other girl Jordyn was a bit conservative, she looks like she wasn't really sure about this but Julia kept convincing her about this. I didn't really know what they were talking about but I heard some guys name called Phonsy was being called into the conversation. They were mumbling a little bit but I managed to catch a little bit of their conversation.
Julia Grosso: Come on Jordyn, loosen up. Do you want to be with the guy who just won Male Athlete of The Year or Phonsy the guy who got beaten to Male Athlete of The Year?
Jordyn Huitema: I guess a little fun wouldn't be that bad, screw it let's live it to the max.
I didn't really remember anything after the taxi ride to their place, but all I remember was that night I got dragged into a hotel room by two really pretty female football players with me under the influence of alcohol.
Well I'll let you imagine what stuff did Y/N and the girls did that night. In my mind they had a really nice cup of tea and then slept in separate beds but if you want something different feel free to imagine something else.
I just wanted to say, thank you very much for reaching 1K reads, this is a very big milestone for both myself and this book. I will try my best to upload another few chapters before the end of today. Please vote and share this book and continue to support my work. I really appreciate the support you have given me in the past.
