Shiva's POV
"I'll drop you at the house?" I asked as I took the car in reverse.
Harsha had the side of her head placed on her fist and she stared at me intently.
"Drop me where you're going." I looked at her for a quick moment.
"At my house?"
"I told my parents I'd be staying over at Sneha's house or something, since it won't be safe taking a taxi late at night. Obviously I wasn't planning to go to Sneha's house," she said. I could practically feel the smirk in her voice.
I gulped. "You were planning on coming to mine. And that's why you insisted that I drop you," I finished the sentence for her.
"Yep."
"I don't think that's-
"You don't need to worry. I'm not going to do anything to you. At least not now." she said
"I-fine. Fine."
"Great," she said grinning. It took a few minutes before we reached the house. Harsha stood gaping.
"It's a mansion. How did you even..."
"We all launched a business and it became a success." She nodded.
"I feel left out all of a sudden." I didn't respond.
I opened the door and let her in as she looked around in awe.
She hesitated before sitting on the sofa.
"I doubt I can sit on this. It looks so expensive."
I chuckled.Harsha's POV
"What do you want to do?"
"Sleep."
Shiva looked at me.
"Alone, of course. Not...that way," I said.
"I didn't think anything. Why are you explaining?"
"Shut up. Give me a change of clothes first. I cannot put up with this saree anymore. Such a burden."
Shiva got up and walked into the room and I followed.
"I hope you were sentimental enough to buy me some clothes at some point in your successful life."
He opened the cupboard and searched through the clothes. He then took out a casual churidar.
"Oh wow you were sentimental enough. I didn't expect that."
He closed the cupboard, then walked out the room, shutting the door.
"Rude," I mumbled. I put on the dress and looked at myself in the mirror.
I walked out of the room to find Shiva near the kitchen counter, drinking water. No chugging, water.
"How does it look?" I asked, with a swirl.Shiva's POV
"It looks nice." I said, trying my best to not smile. It's not that I don't want to, it has only been a day since she's here. I don't want to initiate anything until she wants to.
"Cool. I'm pretty sure that you have like 40 bedrooms in this house, so I'll just help myself to one of them."
"There's a master bedroom upstairs-
"I don't want a master bedroom, and not upstairs. I'm already scared of big houses, I'm not going to sleep alone in a gigantic room."
"You've watched too many horror movies" I said, unable to suppress my smile this time.
"Don't remind me. I'll just sleep on this sofa," she said, patting it.
"I don't want you sleeping on the couch. The only room downstairs is this small room. And that's my bedroom."
"Well..." she said.
"Only if you're really scared of sleeping alone...I'd allow it."
She took a deep breath.
"Or if you're planning this to-"
"I'm not planning any of this. It's not my fault you have such a big house and only have one small bedroom down stairs. How about you sleep on the couch?"
"It's really uncomfortable that way."
"Fine. I'll sleep in your room. You'll just have to stay a few feet away from me. So I can control myself" she whispered in the last part.
