Tord's eyes fluttered open as he sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. He looked around the room, noticing that he wasn't in the attic, but in (Y/N)'s room. Tord thought back to what had happened before he fell asleep.

He remembered spilling some of his troubles to (Y/N) and crying in her arms as she comforted him. Eventually, he fell asleep after being kept up all night by his troubling thoughts. Tord laid back down on the bed, staring at the ceiling as his mind moved from his anxious thoughts to memories.

Specifically, memories that he shared with (Y/N), back when everything was seemingly perfect. A time when he had an amazing group of friends and an even more amazing crush.

"Why did it all have to go downhill?" Tord muttered to himself. The only thing to respond back to him was his thoughts.

'It's not too late to change things,'

"I know that! But how do I know I won't just make everything worse?!" Tord placed his hands over his face, tugging at his hair. "I don't want to lose her, but I also don't want to let everyone else down!"

'I need to find a way to separate myself from them, without raising any suspicion,'

"So what should I do?" Tord whispered as the sound of footsteps caught his attention. He placed the covers over himself and closed his eyes, pretending to be asleep. The only thing he could see was the light, causing him to turn to the other side, hoping it wouldn't raise any suspicion. Luckily for him, the person closed the door leaving Tord in the dark once more.

Tord could hear some faint whispers that intrigued him, so he stood up from the bed and walked up to the door. He slowly opened it, meeting eyes with (Y/N), whose eyes widened at the sight of Tord. "Oh, you're awake! Did you sleep well?"

Tord gave a nod as he ran a hand through his hair, his demeanor a lot more calmer than before.

"That's good to hear. I was gonna go to the park, wanna come along?" (Y/N) held her hand out to Tord as she fidgeted with the hem of her hoodie, afraid Tord would decline her offer.

Instead, Tord gave her a smile and took a hold of her hand. "I'd like that,"

(Y/N) beamed, running down the stairs, telling the other boys that they would be back later before walking out the door with Tord right behind her.

Along the way, Tord and (Y/N) talked more about their hobbies and interests, learning more about each other. Tord took out a cigarette from a back he kept in his hoodie as well as a lighter and lit the cigarette. He placed the cigarette to his mouth, smoking it for a bit. (Y/N) grabbed the cigarette out of Tord's mouth and placed it in hers, taking a quick smoke before placing it back upon Tord's mouth. A blush painted Tord's cheeks as (Y/N) gave him a wink.

That was an indirect kiss!

Tord thought to himself as his blush deepened at the thought. He looked at (Y/N), who was running up ahead, after spotting the vacant swings. (Y/N) urged Tord to run with her as she sat down on the swing, a smile on her face as Tord took the swing next to her. (Y/N) began to move the swing as she spoke.

"Tord, do you ever think about getting closer? You know, like before!"

"Are you kidding me? I'm always thinking about that," Tord blurted out, covering his mouth and blush with his hand as (Y/N) stopped swinging.

(Y/N) got off of her swing and went behind Tord, pushing the Norski, who let out a small yelp at the sudden movement. Though he quickly calmed down when he realized it was only (Y/N). Tord allowed (Y/N) to push him as they continued to talk.

"I missed you," (Y/N) said, shocking Tord as he squeezed the chain of the swings, biting his lip out of guilt, "I know it may seem weird after when you came back, I pushed you away. But it's only because I was scared. Scared of getting hurt again,"

Tord dragged his feet across the sand, halting him to a stop. (Y/N) stepped back with wide eyes as Tord hopped off the seat before grabbing a hold of (Y/N)'s hands. His eyes closed as he brought (Y/N) into a hug. A hug that (Y/N) quickly accepted. The two stayed that way for a bit before pulling away. "I missed you, too. I really wish I could never hurt you again,"

(Y/N) couldn't quite comprehend the meaning behind Tord's words, but she shrugged it off. "I'm sure you won't,"

A tiny smile tugged at Tord's lips, but that smile disappeared as quickly as it had appeared.

"Am I interrupting something?"

"Paul!" (Y/N) exclaimed as she ran toward the soldier with open arms. Paul let out a slight chuckle as he placed his arms around (Y/N). Tord straightened his back out of habit. After the two friends finished their small reunion, Tord walked up to them, a slight frown on his face though he refused to show it in front of (Y/N).

"Paul, can I talk to you?" Tord muttered, catching Paul's attention as Tord's tone was stern.

"Uh, of course,"

(Y/N) watched Tord whisk Paul away, leaving her to wonder what the two boys were discussing. It seemed to be something important, (Y/N) thought to herself. She went back to the swings, pushing herself as she waited for Paul and Tord to finish their talk. It wasn't long when a familiar voice could be heard in front of her causing (Y/N) to stop her swinging.

"Paul has to leave and do some errands," (Y/N) noticed that Paul was nowhere to be seen.

It bothered her a bit as it was unnatural for Paul to leave without bidding her farewell as Paul puts it. Tord grasped (Y/N)'s hand once more, pulling her off the swing and into his arms. His smile was bright and cheery as though he was the luckiest man alive. Tord's sudden happiness made (Y/N) happy herself. She loved it when Tord smiled, it always made her smile and brightened her day. "But, that mean we have the whole afternoon to ourselves, so what should we do first?"

(Y/N) reversed the roles, now it was Tord's hand that was in hers. "Why don't we have another movie night, just the two of us!"

"That sounds nice," Tord said, letting the girl pull him back to the house.

It couldn't hurt to get closer to (Y/N), right? Tord stared at (Y/N), her closed-eyed smile warmed his heart, Screw it, "I love her way too much!"

"Hm, did you say something?" Tord's eyes widened as he told (Y/N) to not worry about what he said, though he kind of wished (Y/N) would have heard.
