"Well then," she said, her eyes watering a bit, "I guess we're back to square one," Tord's eyes went wide, "I really did believe we could've gone back to the friendship we once had,"
Tord gained all the strength he could to grab a hold of (Y/N)'s arm as she started to walk away, but she was brought back by the feeling of Tord tugging on her arm. She looked up into Tord's light blue eyes. Her own softening at the look of regret that covered the Norwegian's face. "Please..."
(Y/N) let out a small gasp at Tord's plea. His voice sounded so desperate and weak that it broke her heart. "What is it now?" (Y/N) tried to sound annoyed, though it came out more as strained and dejected.
"Please, I never meant to hurt you again," Tord exclaimed, his grip on (Y/N)'s arm tightening a slight bit.
(Y/N) then thought back to what Tord had told her, the day she was going to cut him off again.
-
"I'm sorry, but I don't think this is going to work out," Tord's eyes widened at the girl's words, he felt a sense of panic as he reached for the girl's shoulders, holding them in a tight grip. (Y/N) was pushed back a bit by the sudden force and was now staring at Tord's face, his brows tilted and his mouth agape as he spoke with a shaky voice.
"No, we can work this out! I promise, please just... just give me a chance to prove to you that we can get back to that," Tord gritted his teeth at the word he was about to say, "...friendship we used to share,"
(Y/N) sighed, she didn't want to believe that she was about to do something she knew was a bad choice. She placed her hands atop Tord's, grabbing them and pulling them off her shoulder, holding them with a gentle touch.
"Okay, I'll give you a chance, but if you mess this up. I have the right to never forgive you," Tord let out a sigh of relief as he thanked the girl.
-
"You, you promised!" (Y/N) screamed as she ripped her arm out of Tord's weak grip, "I trusted you! I gave you a second chance and you blew it! I... I can't believe you lied!"
Tord felt his hands shake a bit at (Y/N)'s fury. He noticed (Y/N)'s eyes beginning to well up. Oh, how he hated to see (Y/N) cry, he couldn't help but trap (Y/N) in a hug, stroking her hair and rubbing her back. (Y/N) pushed Tord away before running towards Tom and engulfing him in a tight hug. She smothered her face in Tom's blue hoodie, tears running down her cheeks as Tom took Tord's place in comforting (Y/N). "It's alright, (Y/N). I'm still here,"
Tord felt himself flinch at Tom's words. He's still there, something Tord couldn't keep his word on. Tord shook his head as he placed the hat he had gotten atop his brown hair. He looked at the bright red button, his face fell at the sight of what would happen once he pressed it for a second time. Maybe he can fix this again.
He turned to look back at (Y/N) and Tom.
No, he thought.
I've done enough.
And with that, Tord walked to the red button. He hesitated before slamming his hand on the red button. He went up the chute that had dropped his hat and landed in a giant robot that he had created in his image. This robot just brought back painful memories of the time he had made his choice and began to get away from the others, mostly (Y/N).
-
"Hey, I gotta go do something. Is it okay if I leave? I'm sure Tom here will keep you company," Tord's voice dripped with venom at Tom's name.
(Y/N)'s face flashed with a look of concern, yet she brushed it off and replaced it with an understanding smile, "Oh, no it's fine! I'll see you later, right?"
