Chapter 16: Astrid

My head shot back, giving astrid a scowl. Good thing she couldn't see me.
Hiccup hesitated "O-oh no one! An imaginary friend!"

That Hurt more then I should and from the look of Hiccups face he realized how hurt I looked. I had tears in my eyes.

Sighing softly hiccup said "No he isn't. He's actually someone real."
"Real? I don't know anyone named Jack in the village.." Astrid asked.
"He's not from here." Hiccup twiddled his thumbs.
"Well, where is he?" Astrid looked around, curious.
I just stayed silent and looked back and forth between him.
"Do you Know the myth Jack Frost?"

Hiccup said quickly, stealing a glance at me.
"Of course! Many people have. Why?"
"W-well he's real. And he's here!"
"Oh come on hiccup, that's ridiculous!"
"You have to believe! He's real!"
"Are you serious?"
"Yes. I am.. Please astrid."
Astrid sighed and nodded slowly as she said "Jack Frost?"

I slowly started to make it snow a bit above and noticed her laugh.
As she turned around she looked straight at me. Can she see me?
"You are real!" She jumped a bit excitedly.
"Yes I am!" I smiled and looked at her.
"So how long have you and hiccup known eachother?" Astrid asked and looked at Hiccup and me.
Hiccup and I looked at eachother and both blushed as hiccup said "A while. We are.. Pretty close!"
Astrid set her hands on her hips.
"Good! It's nice to meet you Jack and see you Hiccup. I gotta go, stormflys waiting." She started walking away.
I thought she was leaving until Hiccup ran over to her and set a hand on her shoulder. The shoulder! He shouldn't be touching anyone but me! Ugh jealousy.

I didn't know what he was saying to her, their voices were low.
Until I saw Astrid tear up a bit. Oh no. What did he say.
Astrid then stormed up to me and pointed at my chest and said in a furious tone "I hope you and hiccup are happy together!"

I half-expected her to slap me but she didn't, she ran away crying.
Me and hiccup exchanged looks as I said "Hiccup?"
