Gina I was extremely nervous for this dinner. I had woken Ej up an hour later as promised. He left soon thereafter to unpack and get ready for dinner. I decided to call Ash and update her on all that gone down since we landed in Seattle.
"SHUT THE FRONT DOOR. REALLY?!" She exclaimed through the call as soon as I had given a bible length explanation of the situation at hand. I had her call on speaker as I rummage through my clothes to find something to wear.
"And we are meeting her boyfriend's son at dinner" I added as my stomach turned anxiously.
"Poor Ej. I kinda wish I was there now. But I am beyond relieved that he at least has you. Imagine if he had been there alone and all of that had happen. He would've been back in Salt Lake by now" She replied and I mumbled a soft "yep" as I picked out a dress from the hanger.
"I don't even know how we're gonna get through dinner Ash" I sighed and she sighed heavily "Yikes. It's bad. I can't even give you words of affirmation here Gigi. But if things do get ugly please don't forget to record it so I can see it" She teased making laugh lightly.
"I think my phone would be the least of my worries" I replied and she agreed.
"Just don't think the worst. No matter how pissed Ej maybe or uncomfortable he may get, he has been very well trained to mask it and push through. He's a Caswell. We started attending etiquette courses since we were like 6. So he won't break. At least not at dinner in some fancy restaurant. He will talk your ear off once you two come back home. But a Caswell rant is better than a snap" She warned knowingly and I nodded before speaking up.
"You're right Ash. I'll take your word for it. I gotta run. I need to start getting ready for this dinner. I'll let you know how it goes" I said softly.
"Sounds good roomie. Talk to you later" She smiled hanging up after a bid my goodbye.
"Now what the hell am I suppose to wear?" I sighed irritably sitting on the floor in defeat.

I decided to wear something classy but not too overly formal.
"Are you sure this is fine? I can go change" I asked Ej for the 10th time in the past five minutes.
"Gina. You look beautiful. How many more times do I have to say it?" Ej insisted with a small smile playing on his lips.
"Maybe a couple hundred" I admitted nervously clenching and unclenching my hands in nervousness.
"Just relax G. You're now making me anxious" He chuckled grabbing my hand in a reassuring squeeze.
"You're right. I'm sorry" I whispered as Christy and her boyfriend Michael approached us. Christy's eyes briefly travelled down to Ej's hand on mine before meeting his son's gaze.
"You ready honey?" She asked sweetly as I discreetly pulled my hand away from Ej's hold.
"Yep" He said sarcastically and I discreetly directed a sharp glare his direction wordlessly telling him to be nice.
"You look stunning Gina" She complimented making me blush almost instantly.
"Thank you Miss Baldwin. So do you" I smiled gratefully as she shifted her gaze back on her son.
"Alright. Well Jack will meet us at the restaurant" Jesse announced getting off the phone with a smile and I could feel Ej inwardly roll his eyes.
It was then I realize why he looked so familiar when we met earlier. Well obviously he had an hat on so I couldn't recognize him when I saw him for the very first time. Plus, the whole 'Ej's mom has a boyfriend' had me a little distracted. But he is none other than freaking Jesse Williams as in JACKSON AVERY FROM GREYS ANATOMY!!! I kept my shit together though. I didn't want to come off as some creepy fangirl. But I was a freaking fangirl.
"Alright perfect. Ej, hon, would you mind getting a head start and meeting us there? Jesse and I are picking up his parents before heading to the restaurant. I just don't want to miss our reservation" Christy explained as I glanced back and forth between the pair.
"Yeah. Is there a car I should take or...?" Ej agreed looking at his mother for clarification.
"Oh yes. Go to the parking garage in the lower floor. You can pick whichever car you'd like. You'll see the keys in an sealed framed. You know the password" She smiled knowingly and Ej nodded wordlessly.
"Yes I have a guess or two" He replied with a small smile of his own.
YAY! A small gesture, but progress nonetheless.
After we all bide our goodbyes, both Ej and I walked down to where the cars were parked. To say I gasped would be an understatement. I almost had heart failure. All these cars were absolutely breathtaking. I didn't know the brand or the model but I did know they were gorgeous.
"Wow" I whispered admiring all the cars in my sight.
"Which one do you like?" He asked looking at me for suggestions.
"Me? Uh-I like that one over there" I pointed dreamily and Ej smiled grabbing the car keys for it.

"Alrighty Miss Porter. Let's go" Ej declared extending out his hand for me to take which I took graciously because these heels were not making it easy for me to walk in at all.
"Ej?" I mumbled once we were both in the car with a knowing glance as he shook his head in return.
"I refuse to talk about Jesse freaking Williams. I know you're dying right now. But I am too startle to care" He replied knowing fully well I was seconds away from loosing my shit.
" But Ej" I whined bouncing my leg in excitement.
"Fine. You get 5 minutes." He sighed heavily as I let out a happy squeal.
"It's Jackson freaking Avery" I exclaimed with the biggest smile gripping his arm and shaking it furiously in excitement.
We spend the entire ride there cracking jokes and laughing at silly things one of which was the irony of Jesse Williams. Even when we got lost with our GPS, we couldn't help but blog our little adventure unto our IG stories which all of our friends responded to with either genuine concern or sarcastic teasing. I'll leave it up to you to guess who was who.
