Gina As expected, Jack joined the rest of us on the 'family trip'. I think he did so more to piss off Ej more than anything though.
"This will be so much fun now that my best boy is here" Christy perked excitedly grabbing Ej arm to pull him closer to her as we walked towards the parking lot after just having breakfast. I may be reading too much into this, but I think that Christy may be a little jealous of me? Ever since she saw us this morning she has been a little more... possessive... with Ej.
I mean, just now, Ej and I were walking side to side laughing about something Ash had texted our group chat and she just randomly pulls him away from me. I'm not whining about it but I can't help but be curious by her sudden mood change.
"You're that happy to see me?" Ej teased his mother gripping her arm affectionately as she leaned her head on Ej shoulder. "Of course I am baby." She replied with a big smile on her face as she discreetly glanced at me in satisfaction as I walked beside them quietly. There was an obviously big gap between me and Ej now so it was easy for Jack to fill the void smoothly.
"Walking by yourself?" Jack perked with a sly smirk as I rolled my eyes instinctively at his presence.
"No I am not" I replied grabbing my phone out of my back pocket to distract myself.
"Looks like it to me" He played coy as he gently bumped his shoulder next to mine.
"Well you're delusional because I was literally just talking to my friend before you butt in" I replied creating some necessary space between the two of us.
"Your friend? You mean your boyfriend?" He rephrased teasing me as I glared at him.
"Let me ask you something. If you think I'm Ej's girlfriend, why do you keep flirting with me?" I snapped irritably as I texted Nini back with a hilarious gif.
"Because you're hot and easy to annoy" He replied winking at me as I rolled my eyes irritably.
"Well stop. It's annoying and you are not my type if I haven't made that perfectly clear already" I replied sternly as he chuckled in response.
"Oh and here I thought you were just playing hard to get" He teased softly as I glared at him unamused.
"Look I know you find me attractive but I also know you're loyal to whatever it is you have going on with my step-bro. It doesn't hurt trying though" He smirked leaning closer to me as I furrowed my eyebrows in frustration.
"Don't sound so certain. I kickbox. Be warned" I snapped back as he smiled at me eyeing me up curiously.
"You look really pretty today" He complimented pointing at my outfit and I sighed heavily.

"Thanks" I said dryly glancing down at my outfit discreetly very proud of myself.
"Would you stop your flirting?" Ej snapped at Jack coming up behind me as I looked behind me to see a pissed Ej throwing daggers at him.
"You know Gina can speak for herself" Jack snapped back glaring at Ej as he scoffed irritably.
Ej then continued to put one his arms over my shoulders to pull me away from the shorter boy next to me, making Jack reciprocate with an eye roll.
"You two just stop it. We are sightseeing." I scolded in a hush whisper as Ej sighed reluctantly agreeing with me but not letting me go from his side.
"You think your mom is mad at me or something?" I whispered towards him and he chuckled softly in amusement.
"Why would you think that?" He laughed at me as I pouted at him playfully nudging his side.
"I'm serious Ej" I insisted as he looked down at me with a small smile.
"You didn't do anything. Why would she?" He reasoned and I pouted again pondering any possible answer to give him.
" I don't know. I mean she saw us in your room right? So maybe she thinks I'm an ugly and pathetic liar and hates me now" I whispered frantically as he laughed yet again.
"If anyone is the ugly and pathetic lair, it should be me G. I'm the one that lied to her not you" He reminded me and I glanced at him knowingly.
"I know but she's been giving me these scary crazy eyes all day" I whispered glancing up at him warily as he tucked a loose curl behind my ear.
"Have you had enough water today? I think dehydration is making you delusional" He teased playing with the ends of my hair as I smacked his hands away.
"I've been drinking plenty of water. Thanks for your concern" I replied sarcastically as he chuckled.
"Come on kids. The ferry boat awaits" Christy perks excitedly as we look ahead of us to the boat right in front of us.
"After you Miss Porter..." Ej calls as he grabs my hand to pull me right in front of him (and more specifically away from Jack).
"Whatever and I don't need you to be my personal human barrier from the douchebag" I reminded him looking at Jack who wouldn't take his eyes of off me.
"I'm not doing anything" He replied defensively as I raised my eyebrows challengingly.
"Right..." I challengingly glance down at our interlocked hands.
"I don't want him messing with you" He replied staring down at our hands.
"I'm Gina Porter. I got this" I reassured squeezing his hand. " Next time he asks, I'm your boyfriend" He concludes looking at me in all seriousness.
"haha" I deadpan chuckling lightly at him thinking he is joking but as I stared at him I noticed he was suggesting a serious question.
"You're not joking?" I asked as he stared back at me unamused. "No" He replied and I agape at him.
"What about your mom?" I asked dumbly.
"I'll deal with her" He smiled.
"Ok fine. Only because Jackass can't take no for an answer" I agree with him.
"Fine by me babe" Ej teased winking at me and I smiled in response.
This will be a an interesting ferry ride....
