*Another beautiful day with fabulous #portwell content. I hope you are all having a magnificent day! Happy readings and let me see those reactions throughout the story. I love to read them! ♥️*

Gina

"Hey" He greeted shyly and if it weren't because there was a lot of tension between the both of us (and I was extremely nervous myself), I would've probably teased him about making him nervous.

"Hi" I greeted back softly looking at him briefly before fixing my gaze on the floor.

"We need to talk" He stated more than suggested.

"Uh- you wanna come in or just stand out here and talk?" I offered trying my best to sound calm and collected.

"I think inside would be best if you don't mind" He replied as I mumbled a "not at all" before stepping to the side to let him in. I let out a shaky breath before closing the door behind me.

Oh good heavens, please have mercy on me....

A few minutes of heavy silence past between us. It was so awkward that it felt almost criminal to break the silence. The tension was piercing my soul like a dagger.

"What I did back on the ferry boat... I...I shouldn't have sprung it on you like that. That was wrong on so many levels. It was inconsiderate and I'm sorry for putting you in a position where you didn't get to have a choice in the matter" He begged guiltily as his gaze hesitantly met mine.

As I stood there taking in everything he had just said to me; I came to the realization that he wasn't apologizing about kissing me but rather about not getting my consent to do so. Did he not regret kissing me? Did he like it? And wait... its nice of him to apologize for not getting my consent to kiss me.

"Ej. If I didn't want to go through with it, I would've never kissed you back. It's ok. Don't worry about it" I reassured as his blue eyes brighten ever so slightly. I could see the smallest trace of a hidden smile playing on his lips and I had to look away to keep myself from blushing.

Staring at his lips makes my own lips tingle as the memory of what had happened earlier resurfaced. His soft and pink lips gracing mine in the most tender and sweet regard. The way his lips moved perfectly against mine.

Ok Gina. Girl. You gotta stop. What are you doing homegirl???

You are stronger than the stupid butterflies in the pit of your stomach Gina.

As I bite my lower lip anxiously, I couldn't help but notice Ej's gaze follow the movement before his eyes met mine again. As our gaze locked I couldn't help but let out a shaky breath. As Ej stared at me intensely from a good five feet away; I couldn't help but feel vulnerable and exposed as if he was staring at the depths of soul. I didn't dare move a muscle or even blink for that matter fearing that doing either of those things would break the trance we were both in.

He was the first to do anything by taking a couple steps towards me. I blinked rapidly searching his eyes through the dim lighting of the room. The only real light that was merely useful was the light radiating from the fireplace so I had a hard time trying to read him.

Damn. I should've turn on the lights on my way to open the door for him. Now I'm stuck with poor yellowish fire lighting.

"And I wasn't flirting with Charlotte" He added.

Way to ruin the moment...

"You don't need to explain. It's not my place nor business" I reassured crossing my arms and looking away from him as he took yet another step in my direction.
