A thin subtle smile came to Loki's as he heard the sound of heavy footsteps make their way to his cell. He knew that it wouldn't be long before Thor would visit him. Once he had been told about the Midgardian that had fallen prey to the Chitauri weapon, he knew that eventually the two of them would meet. And that despite what the Avengers might want, that he would be returning to Midgard sooner rather than later.

"Brother. To what do I owe the dubious pleasure?" Loki asked, never turning his gaze from the book in his hands.

"You know exactly why I am here, Loki. The lady wishes to meet you. And despite all advise against it, I have agreed to escort you back to Midgard." Thor replied. Crossing his arms firmly across his chest, as he watched Loki lick his finger and turn a page of his book.

"I would really rather not. I find that I am quite alright here. Thank you." The God of Mischief told his brother. Loki having no desire to make anything easy for Thor or his Midgardian pets.

"You don't have a choice, brother. You will be accompanying me to Midgard whether you like it or not." Thor explain, as suddenly Loki's cell was flooded by Asgardian guards. The men shackling the arms and legs of the struggling frost giant. A power limiter attached to his neck. Loki unceremoniously dragged to his feet and out of his prison. The guards shoving and pushing him until he stood in front of the God of Thunder.

"Don't make this any more difficult than it has to be brother. You will be accompanying me, and there is nothing that you can do about it." Thor added. The great god turning and making his way out of the prison area. The guards following closely behind, forcing Loki to shuffle along. Dragging the heavy manacles and chains with him.

"Well?" Loki enquired, as he finally managed to catch up to Thor. The gods and the guards making their way across the rainbow bridge, on their way to Heimdall.

"Well, what, Loki?" Thor huffed. The big man really not in the mood for any of his brother's nonsense.

Thor, as well as most of the others, had tried to persuade (Y/n) that returning Loki to earth was not the best of ideas. That all of them together could help her work through her changes, and then assist her with learning how to use her new skills and abilities. But the woman would not be dissuaded. And, if truth be told, Thor could understand why she was so adamant about wanting to confront his brother. Thor having to admit that he would like a few answers himself regarding Loki's intentions.

"Are you going to tell me about her?" Loki added with a chuckle, as he finally let his curiosity get the better of him. The God of Mischief stopping, as Thor came to a halt and glared at him.

"You think that this is funny, Loki? You think that this is all some kind of joke? I thought that I had seen the last of the victims of your jealousy. But I was wrong. (Y/n) is as much a victim of your insanity as any of the others that you killed or hurt. More in fact, because she has to live for the rest of her life with what you and Chitauri have done to her. I am not telling you anything. You see, I am going to give the lady the pleasure of telling you, herself. Now move." Thor growled. The guards coming up behind them and forcing Loki to move with the sharp ends of their swords.

                                                          >>------------------------------<<

(Y/n) sat quietly, looking down at her hands as a tinge of green crept up from her fingernails, down her fingers and into the palms of her hands. The colour spreading in elegant tendrils along her skin.

"You have to try and keep calm, (Y/n). I know that its hard, but you have to try." Bruce said nervously, as he watched her. The anger inside her growing as she waited for Thor to return with Loki.

"I know, Bruce. I'm trying. I really am. It's just........"

"I know, (Y/n). I know what you are feeling. I know the anger and rage that wants to take over. That the monster inside you is desperate to break out. But you must try and stop it. Just try and breath with me." Bruce interrupted. Taking (Y/n)'s hand in one of his, as he placed the other under her chin. The doctor slowly raising her head so that she was looking him in the eyes. The hint of green leaving her orbs, as he had her follow him with deep controlled breaths.

(Y/n) couldn't help but smile slightly, as Bruce looked at her. Through all of this, he had been there. (Y/n) sure that without him, this would all have been too much. Even though the others had tried to help, each one of them telling her about their skill, their abilities. All assuring her that they would aid her in any way that they could. The idea that she was all of them. That she was a god, and a super soldier. That she was an assassin and had the combined intelligence and knowledge of not only those, but also Iron Man, and the doctor in front of her, was certainly a scary notion.

She had to admit that she had faced her fare share of ups and downs in her job. That she had seen the worst of people. The most horrific of scenes. Yet she had always prided herself on how well she had handled everything. How well she had been able to control her emotions and keep her sanity in an otherwise insane world. But this was something no one could ever be prepared for. And she knew that there were still more changes to come. Still more pain.

"They're coming." (Y/n) suddenly said as she turned her attention to the ceiling.

"Thor? Loki? How do you know?" Bruce asked, as he too turned to look up at the roof.

"I don't know. I can just...........I just know." (Y/n) replied. The building rumbling as the two gods made their entry onto the roof. The room where Bruce and (Y/n) sat, being lit momentarily by the light of the Bifrost.

"Looks like our visitors are here." Tony informed the pair, as he made his way into the large, open room. The billionaire already clothed in his suit. He and the rest of the team not wanting to take any chances with the returning God of Mischief. The entire building filled with Fury's agents. The director of S.H.I.E.L.D not wishing to take any chances either.

"Then, I think that we should go and greet them. Don't you." (Y/n) told the billionaire, as she got to her feet. Making her way out of the room and up to where she knew that the two gods would be waiting.

                                                           >>---------------------------------<<

The helipad was full of S.H.I.E.L.D agents, ready and waiting as soon as Thor and Loki appeared. The God of Mischief finding it quite satisfying that all this fuss was for him. And that the Midgardians obviously still feared what else he could do. Loki grinning smugly as he watched Stark and the rest of the so called Avengers that had dared to stand against him, make there way out to greet him. Yet it was not Iron Man, Captain America, or even the Black Widow that try caught his eye, but the woman that made her way out before them. The God of Mischief furrowing his brows as she confidently strode towards him. His eyes growing wide as she grabbed him by the throat and hoisted him into the air. His feet dangling helplessly over the edge of the building.

"You and I, God of Mischief, need to talk."
