The sun shone brightly and single clouds were striving along the sky as Akito was sitting at his office desk and stared out into the royal garden. He watched absent minded the pond and how the tiny birds were searching for food in the water flowers. His mind drifted off to how he would spend time with Lady Ayers under the tree next to the pond. How he would watch her long hair fluttering in the wind and her blushing reaction when he touched her. Just thinking of it made him greedy for more.
THUD
A stack of paper was slammed on the table in front of him and he gasped out of his daydream. "Here are the reports you have asked me for." It was Raito who had slammed the documents down with an irritated face. His mouth was smiling but his eyes showed annoyance. "How long have you been dreaming and not working?" "How could I concentrate after meeting the lovely and beautiful Lady Ayers?" He glanced upwards from his sitting position to Raito who was narrowing his eyes. "You mean the clumsy toe crusher?" He didn't intend to hide his displeasure with her in front of his cousin. "Yeah exactly! She crushed your toes so well~" Akito was laughing over his own teasing and enjoying this conversation clearly more as Raito did. "I can't believe she is supposed to be the future Queen of the Valeis Kingdom. What did his Majesty thought as he was arranging this?" "Haha, he thought of the happiness of his son~" Raito's face vexed up more. "I highly doubt. He rather thought of the money and political advantage followed with this through the Ayers family."
"We should invite her over." Akito suggested with a bright face. "That I have to meet her?" Raito countered. "Oh no I will meet her. We just say a suddenly urged matter occurred where the Prince had to attend and that you can't meet her anymore." Raito sighed at his suggestion. "Do as you please. I can't stop you anyway." "I will take this as an agreement to my plan~" the blonde replied and grabbed an official letter paper and held it towards his cousin. "Now, would you please write an Invitation, my Prince?" He grinned even wider as Raito took the paper. "..."
"I'm clearly not getting paid enough for this." He stepped away from the table with the blank letter. "Ah wait." Raito stopped. "Invite her friend too. The foreign Marquess daughter." "...Why her?" he looked back over his shoulder with a now neutral expression. "Do you want to hear the real reason or a fake reason?" "I'm not sure if-" "I want to hook you up with her!" Akito abruptly interrupted him what made Raito strongly cough in shock. "Your Highness-"
The crown Prince burst out laughing while his aide was still collecting himself. "-This isn't a game! We already have to be cautions with our role change and now you want to drag more people in?" If one of the Ladies noticed that Raito and Akito changed their roles when they stepped out into public it could destroy the entire reason of their acting. As long as Prince Akito didn't collected enough information's in his aide disguise, it isn't worth to uncover their fraud game.
Akito was still chuckling but waved his aide off. "Just do it. I know you're interested in her since she is from a mage family. See it as a bonus payment which will be of great use for you." The disgruntled face of Raito spoke more as thousand words. Words all of disagreement, the wish for an actual payment and a few death wishes. But he made a simple bow and excused himself to prepare the letter.
It was after lunchtime as Jisoo and Lilith arrived at the Palace. The invitation made the mint girl very excited and even Lilith couldn't hide her curiosity about the summon. They were led to a large waiting room where a maid served them tea during their wait. "The Ladies will soon be picked up. You may enjoy the tea till then." The Royal butler bowed and left them alone.
Time passed very slowly during their wait. Only a clock was idly ticking and signaling the passing of time. They had not a lot to say to each other during their wait beside complaints and wondering why they had to wait so long even tho they were summoned. The half drunken tea got already cold as suddenly the door opened. Both girls lifted their head to see that the Prince's aide was come to pick them up. In unison they stood up from their seats. "Sir Frazer." Lilith spoke up first while Jisoo was smiling a lovely smile as greeting.
"I apologise for the long wait, Lady Arden, Lady Ayers." a quick bow inclined his apology and a long smile directed towards Jisoo showed a rise in his mood. "I will lead you to the meeting with the crown Prince." Both stepped away form the table, intending to follow him but Akito slowed them down again. "Only Lady Ayers. Lady Arden unfortunately has to wait longer for the reason she had been called." Confusion rose in Lilith but she had no choice as to sit back down and watch how Jisoo was led away by a quirky smirking Akito.
Quietly walking along the hall, Jisoo was lead by the handsome blond young Duke to meet up with her fiance. She rather want to stay with him instead of meeting the grumpy Prince. Maybe she could use today as an opportunity to get on bad terms with the Prince. He would surely want to break the engagement when she behaved rudely or weird towards him. Pondering about her options she decided to go for it, nevertheless the risks.
Akito suddenly came to a hold in front of her as another person stopped him. Jisoo almost walked into him but were able to avoid this. The man who appeared didn't seemed to be a Butler and whispered into Akito's ear. Sadly she couldn't hear what he was whispering into his ear until the young Duke loudly replied with an "Hm. I see." With a nod the man was dismissed and Akito turned with a smile around to her. "It seems the Prince is indispensable due to a urgent matter and won't be able to meet you today anymore." She blinked. "What now?" She didn't came all the way here to be dumped and send back this way. "Now my Lady, you have the incredible luck to spend time with me. And when I remember it right, we have a date at the pond to watch birds." Her mood brightened instantly and she was led by him outside to the pond in the Royal garden.
