"Your Highness, the new Palace Magican has arrived and is waiting in the lobby." The Butler announced diligently her arrival and Akito looked over to Raito. "Go together with her to my father and keep an eye on her. Let everyone know that she mustn't know who the real Prince is, she only has to treat the King." "Understood." Raito hurried to leave for the office as Akito called out to him again. "Oh and she is not allowed to leave until his Majesty is recovered. I can't risk this news to spread."
Lilith nervously stood in the Lobby next to a few maids as she waited to be officially received. The silence in the big hall was suffocating and gave her a bad feeling about what was to come. A few heavy booted food steps which came closer caught her attention. It was the Crown Prince himself who came to receive her which only confirmed her suspicions. Quickly bowing courtesy Lilith greeted him but there wasn't any time for greetings. "Greetings your Highness." "Follow me Lady Lilith. I'll explain it on our way." "Ah.. yes."
She quick lifted her head and followed him on a close step, trying to match his speed. "I'm sure the Butler already instructed you that everything happening in the Palace is confidential. So I'll skip that part and get to the point. The King was poisoned. The doctor who examined his Majesty came to the conclusion that a poisonous flower was used. But unfortunately it was manipulated by magic so we don't have anything to treat the poisoning. This is where you come into the picture. Do whatever it may cost to save his life." Raito stopped in front of an extravagant looking door and glanced back to Lilith who was due to his big steps already a few steps behind. She seemed slightly out of breath from the try to keep up with his speed and her expression were more than shocked about those news, but she nodded in response.
Understanding the gravity of this situation, she didn't dared to ask any unnecessary questions, still she couldn't help but to stutter out her own concern. "B-but... Healing is not my speciality.." His gaze didn't allowed any buts. "Then it will now become your speciality."
With a swing the door was pushed open and revealed was the King's chambers. Two maids and the doctor were present beside the ill King. Lilith hesitated to step in but a big hand showed her inside. "This is our Palace Magican, please update her and don't mind me." The doctor nodded and shared all about his condition and the exact used poison. It was brief but detailed. "I see.." While mumbling to herself she reached out and held her hand above the unconscious body. A sparkling light emitted her hand and the body became to glow on those spots she focused on. Meanwhile everyone else including Raito silently watched from the side in a nervous manner. They didn't know what exactly she was doing and her mumbles didn't had any calming reassurances like 'everything will be fine'.
A few minutes had passed as Lilith stopped with her magic after using it on different spots on his body. "Okay I can see the issue here. His Majesty still seems to breathe, but his body can't make a lot use of the oxygen. That's why his condition becomes gradually worse." "Say whatever you need to fix this and we will grand it" the fake prince stepped expectant closer. She turned her head in his direction an sighed. "I need Sir Solomon Arden." "Okay I have to correct myself. You can have everything beside more uninvolved people." No one could imitate the straight face he had right at this moment. "Okay... The second option will come you pricely. It will take a lot time." This was indeed pricely. Hiding the King's absence for too long will raise only suspicions of the nobles. He decided to put on some pressure. "You have one week." This answer startled Lilith clearly as she didn't expected this. "O-one week? This is not enough-" "You better focus on healing. Until his Majesty isn't recovered, you're not allowed to leave the palace. This is an order." Raito crossed his arms and Lilith bite her lips in frustration from his demand. She had no choice but to comply to his order. "Yes your Highness.." and with that she turned back to the King's ill body and immediately started with the healing progress.
The sun had already set and the left over daylight was lingering far over the horizon as Lilith finished her work and was lead to the room she would have to stay in. It was a very spacious and grand, befitting for the Palace. She fell exhausted onto the bed after imbuing her patient for two hours straight with magic. All her magic reserved were dried up and it would take a while to refill on natural way. "He is really crazy if he expect me to heal him in one week..." Her head turned towards the window and she silently gazed into the night and the little stars who became more and more with the nightfall.
The same night sky from another location was watched by an impatient Jisoo. She spend the last few hours with waiting for her friend to return, but there was nothing. Not even a message came. "If I had known they would steal away my Lilith, I wouldn't have tried to positive talk that damned job!" "Calm down my Lady, I'm sure Lady Lilith will return tomorrow. I'll prepare a tea to calm your nerves." Rosalie gave her an reassuring smile before she left to prepare the tea. "Gosh.. I want to know what was so urgent for her to be called away.." it was a mumble more to herself and she did not expect an answer but received one anyway. "I'd like to know as well."
Seeing someone appear out of nowhere was for the first time already a big surprise but the second time wasn't shocking any lesser. "S-Solomon!" "Good evening Lady Jisoo." He sat down next to her in a leisure manner and smiled kindly at her. "W-what are you doing here? It's late.." she glanced down on herself and crossed protecting her arms in front of her body since she already wore a nightgown and felt embarrassed for him to see her like this."I'm worrying exactly like you for my precious cousin. I was surprised to not see her in her room as I stopped by just now. To where exactly was she summoned you said?" "The Palace." "I see." Solomon's smile faded a little and he began to ponder slightly. Jisoo couldn't imagine what he was thinking of but she had herself a sudden idea. "Can't you teleport to her and tell her to return or at least ask what's going on?" His smile came back as he watched the naive girl. "I'm afraid I can't." "Why not?" "The Palace has a barrier for uninvited wizards like me." He gently poked her forehead while saying this. "Ow- Lili casted it? Can't she undo it for you?" "No, the previous Magican casted it. He may be gone but the spell is still active." "Oh, I see.." but then Solomon leaned with a tempting smirk closer. "But you surely can me help to get inside, can't you, my beautiful Jisoo?" A blush rushed to her cheeks. It was hard to push a handsome man away if he was looking so tempting. "H-how can I help you?" He reached teasingly for a hair lock and lifted it to his lips. "Just send her a letter." "That's all..?"
"My lady, I'm back with your tea." "Rosalie-!" With a gasp Jisoo looked over to her maid and as she wanted to look back at the tricky mage, he had already disappeared the same way like he appeared. With a confused look the maid continued to serve the tea. 'What the hell is wrong with that guy.. He is annoying but also so nice to me.."
