It took her two days to find time to sit together with Akito. They had dinner together. Until now Akito would often eat in his office and Jisoo in her room during lessons. 'The busy times can only become better' was her hope.
"How are the preparations going?" She asked. "Very good. I have pretty much everything sorted out beside a few details. After that we only have to wait for the big day. Are you nervous?" "I think I'm more nervous about being a Queen as the actual coronation." Not everyone could be a good Queen which is accepted by the folk. "You're nervous about that? I thought the part of being wed would make you nervous and not becoming Queen." "Oh." Jisoo jaw dropped slightly and Akito grinned. "There will also be the wedding night." Now she blushed. Between her tight schedule, she totally forgot about it. "This isn't making me nervous... I think." "Good." He laid his hand on hers and smiled softly. It was a reassuring smile. "You don't have to be nervous about anything. You will be a wonderful Queen. And if you're ever troubled, you still have me by your side." Akito lifted her hand to place a gentle kiss on it. His gentle and caring way, it made her fall over and over again. It must truly have been luck for her to be blessed with a fiance like him. She couldn't wait for the wedding.
"How is choosing a lady in waiting going?" "Bothersome." Akiro drank a sip before continuing to chat. "How so?" "I want Lilith to be my lady in waiting, not someone else. But it seems as if her father won't let her come to our Kingdom anymore since he's afraid of danger." "Hmm.. understandable." "Are you siding with him?" She pouted at him. "Of course not. But I would want our precious daughter to travel to a Kingdom which suffered a recent coup." She stopped complaining after hearing the words 'our daughter'. "Well yes.." "Don't worry too much, dear. We will proof how safe Valeis is and in no time she will be able to visit. If not earlier." "Alright, I trust your judgement." Jisoo dropped her cutlery after finishing the dish while Akito smiled at her. Right then something else came to her mind.
"Oh, I met Raito today." "You have. Did he behave?" "Well yes, he bowed and was polite. But he mentioned an issue with his family which made me curious." Aktio tilted his head and thought. "He said family?" "Yes. Is it not about his family?" "No it's about himself." "Tell me!" He laughed while putting his cutlery away as well. "Yes sure, let's gossip about my cousin, the Duke." A sheepish grin decorated her lips as Akito freely shared everything she wanted to know about. "Per law of our Kingdom, the head of a family must be married and cannot stay single. If they are not, they must get engaged or married in a certain amount of time or their title goes to the next married family member. Or to the Crown if this does not apply." "But Raito isn't anything of this... Oh. OH!" Jisoo gasped as she realized everything about the law. Raito didn't had a married family member. Akito would be the closest relative who would be married soon. But since he symbolised the crown, he would get the title either way. Unless he would find a Duchess till the time is over.
"Oh my, I just have a brilliant idea." With amusement Akito watched her as if he already knew what she was going to say. "He must marry Lili. This way she can stay in the Kingdom and become my lady in waiting. We would all benefits from it!" "You're so selfish." Her excitement dropped as he said this. Akito stood up from his chair and pulled her up on her hand. "..but I love this side of you. Let's be selfish together~" he pressed a sudden kiss to her lips which made her heart jump.
The remaining preparations for the wedding went smoothly and the event came closer. Noble guests from all over the Kingdom arrived, likewise distinguished guests from different Kingdoms and Countries which shared a peaceful relationship with Valeis. The foreign nobles stayed like its usual in a selected building complex on the palace grounds. "Have you see, your Majesty? The King of Havena arrived yesterday with his Queen." "Yes, I had to greet them after all. But when do our guests from Lucifs arrive?" Jisoo was sitting together with Claire Kaldorf, whom she appointed a few days ago as her lady in waiting, on the couch of her room. A few other maids where gathered around her and giving her hair and nails a beauty treatment as preparation for the big day. "I have heard that the King of Lucifs will arrive today with his lover." Claire informed the mint haired girl. "Lover? Sounds awful for his Queen." "Oh no, the Queen deceased a few years ago. They say, since he already has an heir, his Majesty doesn't marry again." "This sounds great and all, but I don't care for their King. I want to know when my friend arrives." Her new lady in waiting sweat dropped slightly. She was still getting used to her Queen behaviour. "Pardon, I didn't received word about this.." "Could you find out? I'm sure our palace Magican, Lord Solomon, knows when she will come." "Of course, your majesty. I will hurry." Claire hurried off, eagerly to fulfill the given task and Jisoo sighed while the maids still worked on her hair.
"I dislike long travels." Lilith sighed while staring in boredom out if the carriage. "More than than teleporting?" Solomon was sitting next to her with an amused smile. "Yes, more than teleporting. I'd rather do this." She turned to look at him. "Couldn't you teleport me?" "How could I dare to teleport fragile freight like you?" "I'm not fragile." "We both know otherwise." It fell silent again between them and only the rattling of the carriage filled the sound void.
