The next morning Akito summoned Lilith to discuss further investigations and offer her free usage of knights if necessary. She felt that handing her the power to command the Knights was a great burden but she still thankfully accepted. "Follow me, I'll bring you to the head Knight whom you can always call on." "Yes." They stepped out together and headed towards station of the head Knight. And if as fate wanted it, they walked right into Raito and Saiyumi. The palace might be having an enormous space but you would always walk into those you wanted to avoid. Saiyumi, who was linked into Raito's arm, was the first one to speak. "Good morning young Duke Frazer. I see you're having an morning walk with a lady too~" Lilith just avoided the gaze of the couple since it felt uncomfortable for her to look at them. "I'm afraid I have to disappoint you. I'm just taking care of work with the palace Magician." "Oho~ so she is the rumoured new Magican? Congratulations." Saiyumi covered her mouth with a fan which she was holding all along and her gaze pierced now harder into Lilith. Akito focused more on his cousin as on the Lady beside him and he didn't failed to notice his gaze towards Lilith. He was looking as if he was deep in thought about something and not saying a single word like someone in a trance. But he wasn't the only one who noticed his gaze. Saiyumi glanced over to him and quickly snapped her fan what ripped him out of his thoughts. "Should we head to the garden now, my dear?" "Ah.. yes of course." Raito was clearly startled but caught himself. "Excuse us." And so they walked past them.

Akito frowned. The behaviour of Raito was clearly suspicions in many ways but he couldn't put his finger right on it. He glanced down to the silent mage who stood by his side like a doll. But her expression was nothing doll like. She looked downwards and her face seemed pained. Something was up and he had to find it out immediately. "Lady Lilith, did something happen between you and Lady Peres or Raito?" "What..?" She looked up to meet his gaze. "Nothing happened, my Lord." "I can see you're lying." Now she avoided his gaze. "Something indeed happened. But it's irrelevant." "It's not irrelevant. If it's about Raito I must know." "I'm afraid this is too personal, please respect this." Akito sighed. "I understand.. let's go." He started to walk again and she tagged along.

In the afternoon Lilith was free to do whatever she wished for so she waited for Jisoo to visit. But as she finally came over Akito snatched her away. Luckily it was only a small briefing on how she should behave this time. Or that was at least what Lilith got told. She assumed they did something else as to have a behaviour lecture. The girls were then chatting with tea and pastries over all kinds of things. This time also, the mage kept her job a secret like previously promised to the aide.

"Haha, yes that was funny." "Right? But hey Lili, I was wondering something." "Yes?" "How are things going between you and the Prince?" "Pardon?" "Did you already forgot our talk? About you becoming the future Queen so I could become Duchess??" Jisoo pouted at her and Lilith sweat dropped. "Oh that. I think someone else is doing a faster job than me in becoming Queen." "Who?" "Saiyumi Peres. She is currently loitering around his Highness." "Eh.. that bitch.. But what about you?" "What is about me?" "Weren't you into him?" "I-" Lilith was speechless for a brief moment and cleared her throat. "Doesn't matter. The prince is a playboy anyway." "What- Raito is a playboy?!" She raised her voice slightly and Lilith tried to calm her down. "Sshh.. someone might her you." "Oops-" Jisoo covered her mouth and looked around. No one was nearby to their luck. "So does that mean nothing happened between you and his Highness?" "Well.. actually.. something did happen but it was a one time thing so I didn't wanted to share.." "What! How could you not share with me until now! And you call yourself my best friend?! Tell me, tell me." Jisoo moved closer with her chair and looked at her with puppy eyes until she gave in. "Ha.. fine. That one day you visited the place, we got into a fight after you left. Something went incredible wrong.. and we were suddenly kissing each other." She frowned while remicing the scene. However, her friend was staring with big excited eyes at her. "Really? Then?" "Nothing. I told him to stop and he left." "That's all? Then why aren't you with him right now, but that bitch??" "His Highness obviously doesn't want me." Lilith took her tea cup and sipped solemn from it. The excitement faded from Jisoo quicky as she watched her best friend. She understood her feelings without her having to tell, or even to admit in this case. "I'll make that jerk regret breaking your heart." Lilith almost chocked. "And I'll kick that bitch's ass too!" "Language Jiji!" "But first I'll visit Akito again!" She jumped off and dashed off. Lilith was still coughing from almost choking on tea but she tried to hurry after her.

"Akito~!" Jisoo walked frolicking into his office what made him look up.
"Jisoo!" Lilith was running after her and shouted her name.
She stepped into the office second and saw the mint girl already hoovering over the table with a bright smile. Akito was leaning towards her and cupping her chin with a grin. "You couldn't wait to see me again, my dear?" "No I couldn't. I want my reward now since I fulfilled my task." He leaned closer with a whisper. "You'll receive your reward later~" Jisoo giggled while Lilith watched the scene with confused emotions. She couldn't make out if she wanted to be surprised, happy for them or disgusted to be a witness. "Since when are you so close? What did I miss?"
But the mage got ignored while they exchanged their flirts.
