Solomon extended his hand to Lilith to escort her out of the carriage. She looked up to the palace ahead if her. "It feels like an eternity since I was here last." She glanced backwards to the entrance way of the palace. The spot which was once crowded and a guillotine waited to shed blood. It was the very spot where she lost her magic. Slight bitterness overcame her and she looked forwards towards the entrance. "I can't believe we're not receiving any welcoming committee like other distinguished guests." The voice of Solomon was sarcastically. But a sudden squeak made him drop his tone. "Lord Solomon! Oh my, you must be Lady Lilith then! Pardon my rudeness, my name is Claire Kaldorf. I'm her Majesty's lady in waiting. I will call for her right away." She dashed off like a squirrel, not even waiting for a reply of them. Lilith blinked in confusion and her cousin almost chocked on a laugh. "Never mind what I just said. We had our very own kind of welcoming. Let's go in and don't forget what the Marquis said. Don leave my-"
"-your side. Yes, yes, I know." She huffed while pulling Solomon along on his arm like some luggage she couldn't drop off. The way they treated her was annoying. She lost her magic, not common sense or memories."I missed you so much, Lili!" "I missed you too." Jisoo was squeezing the air out of her lungs while Lilith seemed very content with her fate. "You missed out on so much. I have so much to tell you. Don't you dare to leave my side till tomorrow." Lilith could help but laugh. "Well it's been almost two months now. And I will stay if you wish me to, my Queen." She winked playful but Jisoo's response was disgust. "Ugh. Don't call me that. Please just call me like always." "Haha, okay Jiji." Claire was watching perplexed how familiar they are with each other but said nothing. "Let's sit down first." The bride in spe took a seat with her friend, not caring about the male luggage behind her. "I wish you'd have been here for my wedding preparations. There was so much I wanted to discuss with you." "I'm really sorry, but it wasn't on me." "I know. I also want you to be my lady in waiting." "I'm not sure if this will work out.. My father wants me to return as soon as the wedding is over since he has other plans regarding me.." She nervously looked away. "What could be more honourable than being able to serve the Crown? Isn't this a great chance now that you can't use magic anymore?" Technically was that right. Nobles would do everything to place their daughter as lady in waiting next to a Queen. The influence they would receive was great, so why wouldn't her father support this?
"Well.. my father has different goals." Her answer was very vaguely. Solomon who had stood in the room, had by now casually dropped into the seat opposite of them and said the words she couldn't. "The marquis want to marry her to an influencing mage family which lives far in the north." "What?!" Lilith flinched from her exclamation. "Shocking right? The main reason is so she will be protected by them since their son is a warrior." "This sounds awful. A warrior mage??" Jisoo imaged a muscle packed rough guy with scars, but wearing the same smug smile like Solomon. "No I can't allow this!" "This isn't exactly your choice.." Lilith sweat dropped as she saw how much she involved herself. "Lili, you just have to marry someone else faster!" "My father won't allow this.. and I don't exactly have a lot time..." "He will allow. I've already made a plan with Akito!" Her eyes sparked as she mentioned her scheme. "Just make sure to catch my flower bouquet tomorrow." Jisoo held the hands of Lilith while reassuring her, but the purple haired girl didn't felt reassured at all.
The day of the coronation had finally come. Jisoo was polished to best shape by maids and tucked into the most fancy dress she ever wore. It was covered with golden accents and gems. It wasn't the kind of wedding dress she expected since it wasn't white, but for being crowned it was perfect. It took hours to prepare everything to perfection on her look. "Are you ready, Jisoo?" It was Lilith's voice which called through the door. A maid opened the door and she stepped in. Her dress looked special too, but in comparison her coronation dress, it was plain. A sudden memory from their debuting day come to her memory. She was being dolled up too and Lilith came in to check on her. It felt as if this was only yesterday and tears creeped to her face. "Please don't cry your Majesty-" the maids panicked. "I'm sorry. I know you worked hard on my makeup." She blinked her tears away and smiled. "I'm ready!" "Look at that, my little Jiji is a grown Queen now. Kids grow up so fast~" Lilith teased her slightly and stepped closer to take her hand. They started walking towards the festival grounds. "I have never attended a coronation. How does this work now?" "It's similar to a noble wedding. Just that not an ordinary priest but the highest priest will wed us. And he will crown us in the same go. But.. we can't kiss. This is very formal." "Makes sense. Sadly I have to sit in the crowd and can't be next to you." "Don't worry, I made sure you can sit in the front rows." "Aren't these reserved for high nobles or rulers of other Kingdoms?" Lilith raised an eyebrow while Jisoo grinned as she saw Akito waiting in front of the royal chapel. They were the last ones to arrive since everyone else already arrived and took a seat inside.
Akito wore a matching outfit to this of Jisoo and was smiling widely as she came closer. "You're gorgeous, my Queen." She blushed slightly. "You look very dashing too." Lilith felt out of place as she watched them adoring each other. Should she just leave and search for her seat? The chapel entrance opened behind Akito a gap and a pink head peeked outside. "Your Majesty, everything is ready. You may enter any time." "Ah Raito, great timing." Akito pulled him further outside. "Would you be so kind and lead this precious guest of my Queen to her seat?" He and Jisoo were grinning widely like partners in crime what made Raito mumble under a sigh. "I should have known.." Then he calmly extended his arm to Lilith while avoiding her gaze. She nervously linked in without saying a work and let herself being lead to her seat. The couple stood now alone in front of the door and looked at each other. "Shall we go, my Queen?" "Yes!" Akito extended his hand in an elegant manner. She placed her hand on his and the door flung open to receive the royal couple.
