Chapter Twenty

What Lilith had missed.

As Jisoo came to visit the palace this day, she was firstly called to Aktio.
"It's nice to see you, Jisoo. You seem to be in good spirits." He watched her joy with a smile. "Of course. I came to see Lili and get even to see you~" "Haha, you're cute." His laugh made her blush in embarrassment and he soon moved closer to pull her against him. Her face flushed more as she looked expedant up to him and he brushed softly with his fingers along her cheek till they could bury in her long mint waves. "I need your help, my beautiful lady." His enchanting words never failed to make her heart beat faster. "My help?" She slightly tilted her head into his hand. "Yes. Only you can help me. And I trust you will do great." "I will do my best but.. will I also be rewarded?" A spark in her eyes flared up and his smile widened. "Of course. Whatever you want. Name it and it shall be your reward~" "Then can I ask to come more often to the palace?" "My my, that is a matter of course. Shouldn't you request something more selfish?" "Then.. can I also spend the night at the palace?" She nervously glanced at him. "Why only one night? You may as well stay forever." He couldn't help but let out a small laugh from seeing her adorable way of asking for a reward. "Don't laugh! I was serious.." A pout formed on her lips. "I am serious too. You may stay as long as you desire if it's your wish." "Really!?" Her face lit up in an instance and he nodded to confirm his honesty.

"So.. what do I have to do?" She perked up again in curiosity and Akito moved slightly back. "You see.. I'm very worried for my cousin as a part of his family. But he wouldn't tell me anything." "Prince Raito?" "Yes. But I got a feeling something has happened between him and your friend, Lady Lilith. So I was hoping you could ask her in my stead." Jisoo's eyes slightly widened. "Something happened between them? She didn't told me anything! I'm going to find out." Confidence echoed in her voice. "I'll find out and tell you. So you should prepare my reward!" "Anything for you, beauty." They both smiled and Akito pressed a kiss to her forehead. Her flushed face became more reddish and while leaving the office she touched her forehead with a grin.

Jisoo withdrew from her bended position over the table, still not listening to Lilith. "So?" Akito asked. "She and Raito made out during her last stay!" She blurted out the tea as if was the most casually thing in the world. Lilith squealed from the sidelines as the sensitive information of her was shared while Akito was having a comparable collected face but nevertheless needed a moment to proceed it. "Why do you tell him-" "This is for your own sake, Lili."
"I see." The girls got cut off by the fake aide. He was now eyeing the purple girl while pondering for a strategy.

"Can you manage to seduce him again?" "Excuse me?? I have not seduced his Highness!" She was clearly offended. "Then you haven't made out with him?" He glanced questioning at her and then at Jisoo who was shrugging since she only heard about it too. Lilith became flustered. "We do have kissed..." "Great. I'm sure you can allure him again." "Why would I do that? He has Lady Peres now." "And exactly this is the problem. We need to remove her from his side quickly." The mage didn't understood why she had to go on such lengths while Jisoo was silently listing. "Just do it. Take it as an order." "Pardon, but I only take orders of his Highness or his Majesty." Akito ruffled through his hair. This was though and he didn't intended to reveal now that he was the actual prince. He would have to figure out another way to remove Saiyumi from the palace. "Okay fine, no order. But don't you think something is wrong with Lady Peres staying at the palace?" Since she wouldn't listen to orders he could only try to talk her into it. With a quick glance to Jisoo he hoped for a helping hand. Jusoo understood quickly and jumped into the conversation.

"Lord Akito is right! Lady Peres was never allowed to visit Prince Raito before. And suddenly she is clinging to him. Don't you think that's weird?" Akito was nodding along with her. "Well it's not on me to judge his taste.." "But that's not all. I still want you to be happy and find the man of your dreams." "I don't think-" "Obviously that sneaky witch is stealing him from you. But I won't let that happen!" "Jiji-" "We won't let that happen!" Akito enthusiastically agreed with Jisoo while Lilith felt as if these two were playing a prank on her. She took a deep breath to collect herself. "I appreciate your concern and efforts. However, I'm simply the palace Magician and before that I'm a foreigner. So I know my place. Besides.. I still have more important tasks to fulfill now. Please excuse me Lord Akito. See you another time Jisoo." She bowed and left the office after using her work as excuse to leave the scene.

"Haa.. She really is sturdy.. Isn't there another way to push Saiyumi out of the Palace?" Jisoo questioned Akito after her friend left. "Not as long as that fool is acting so lovesick." "Fool-" She was surprised at the way of addressing between them despite the royal title. "I'm sure with your help we can manage anything." He smirked at her mischievously, knowing with her he had the best companion on the world. "Now let's send word to your family that you're staying at the palace." "Yes!"

After sending word to the Ayers residence, Jisoo was lead to a guest room. The room was located on the same wing as Lilith's and had a similar interior design. Maids were rushing in and out of the room to prepare everything while Jisoo was simply admiring the view into the garden and the setting sun from the small balcony window. "Wow I still can't believe I can stay here!" "Believe it." Akito was coming shortly after her into the room and observed her with a soft smile. "I still haven't told Lili. I should let her know quickly. She hurried off so fast before..." A small concern came to her mind. "Of course. But I think she still hasn't returned from her work." "I see.." "Until then, would you like to dine with me?" "I would love to." The invitation to dinner made her excited. "Then come to my room when you're ready. I'll let the food be prepared till then." He stepped closer to her to take a hold of her hand and placed a gentle kiss on it's back. After withdrawing he left her room with a cheerful hum.
