"Wait, you guys are actually gonna try out for Tourney? That's great!" Mila smiled at Carlos and Jay, who were putting stuff in their lockers. Luckily their lockers were in the same row as Mila's, allowing them to catch up in between classes.
"Yeah, great." Carlos mumbled sarcastic, closing his locker.
"Come on, don't whine." Jay smirked, wrapping an arm around the smaller boy's shoulders.
"He's right." Mila nodded, pointing at Jay. "You gotta give it a try, Carlos. Or else I'll drag you onto the field." Mila beamed when the boys started laughing.
"Yeah, Carlos isn't that hard to drag." Jay snickered.
"I can drag you too." Mila smirked, waving her fingers around while flames danced between her finger tops.
"Magic is cheating." Jay said in a sing-song voice.
"I thought rules were made to be broken?" Mila snickered.
"You guys are probably related somewhere." Carlos sighed as they seperated ways.
"Good afternoon, sunshines." Mila smiled at Evie and Mal when she passed them.
"Good afternoon to you to, Mila." Evie smiled politely at the redhead.
"Why the nicknames?" Mal groaned slightly, adding an extra coat to the spraypainting she put on her locker.
"Cause your reaction to them is adorable, goddess." Mila winked.
"Goddess?" Mal asked, raising an eyebrow. "I actually kinda like that one."
"Then 'goddess' it is." Both Mila and Evie laughed when Mal blushed slightly. "Later girls!" Mila smiled as she continued on her way, looking for Ben.
"Exciting day?" Ben asked his friend when he noticed Mila walking over to him.
"Yeah, it was pretty fun." Mila smiled and nodded. "Crap! I forgot my lu-"
"Here you go." Ben laughed, handing the redhead a sandwhich. "I know you're always hungry after the final lesson." he said as Mila gratefully took the food and forced it down. "Thanks man."
"Benny-Boo!"
"Oh lucifer, take me away right now." Mila muttered, loud enough for Audrey to hear.
"Mila, always nice to see you too." The princess smiled sweetly.
"Afternoon." Chad Charming nodded, joining the conversation. "Anyone up for going to the village?"
"Sure." Ben nodded before he felt a tap on his shoulder.
"I thought we would be going to the cinema?"
"Oh, I'm sorry. But we can go tomorrow?" Ben offered, trying to keep everyone happy. Mila rolled her eyes, but nodded anyway.
"Audrey, they're not that bad. Trust me." Mila stated for the so many time that she lost count. The four ak's spent their lunch together, much to Mila's annoyance. She never really liked Audrey and thought of Chad as an annoying scumbag. She knew Ben wanted to break up with Audrey but the poor boy was too nice for his own good and tried to find the best way to let her down gently.
"Yeah, we should give them a chance." Ben nodded.
"Benny-Boo." Audrey said, taking Ben's hands. "I know that your mother fell in love with a beast who turned into a prince, but in my mother's story, the evil fairy was just an evil fairy. And that was her mother." Audrey said, nodding to Mal.
"But they're not their parents." Ben argued, Mila nodding in agreement. "He's right. They can choose their own path." Mila said, and with that she left the conversation.
She casually leaned against the lockers, watching Mal. "Can I help you?" The dark fairy asked.
"No, not really." Mila shrugged, a stupid grin playing on her lips. "I was just wondering something."
"And what would that be?" Mal smirked, slamming her locker shut.
"Would you like to go to the cinema with me?" Mila asked, not quite sure herself why she asked Mal out of all people. "Just as friends, no worries sunshine."
Mal thought it over before nodding slightly. "Sure."
"Really?" Mila asked suprised.
"Yeah, why not?" Mal shrugged slightly. "Might be good to know the lay out around the school."
"Cool." Mila grinned.
"What kind of movie is it...." Mal trailed off from her question when Jane walked past.
"A comedy.....Something wrong?" Mila asked, frowning slightly.
"Y-yeah, I just gotta go. You can knock on my dorm when we have to go to the cinema." Mal said before she hurried away.
Mila sighed. "Will do." She spoke to herself.
As the end of the day started approaching, Mila was playing with her necklace as she filled her bag with snacks she thought Mal might like."Where are you going?" Lonnie asked her roommate.
"The movies." Mila answered, putting on her jacket.
"Alone?" Lonnie asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Nope, with a friend."
"Cool. Who?" Lonnie smiled.
"Um, Mal. She's the daughter of Maleficent." Mila said cautiously, she knew Lonnie was more on the suspicious side when it came to the vk's.
"What?!" Lonnie shouted, both eyebrows raised.
"Calm down." Mila rolled her eyes. "I'll be back within, three hours or something. Okay?"
"Okay, be careful." Lonnie sighed.
Mila smiled reassuringly at her before walking towards Mal and Evie's dorm.
"Hey Evie." Mila smiled at the bluenette, who opened the door. "Is Mal ready?"
"Yeah, come on in." Evie smiled, stepping back.
"Not used to this room, aye?" Mila asked.
"Kinda, actually." Evie smiled.
Mila nodded slightly, looking around. There was a bit of a silence before Evie decided to break it.
"So, you can do magic right? How does that work?" Evie asked.
"Oh, um." Mila scratched the back of her head. "That depends on the type of magic. Like, um, my magic works on emotions. If I'm happy and try to use magic, ya know, it's pretty and stuff."
"And when your angry your magic is a merciless fire?" Mal smirked, joining the conversation as she left the bathroom.
"Something like that." Mila laughed. "You ready to go?"
"Yeah." Mal nodded sightly.
"Have fun, you two!" Evie called out to them with a smile, both Mal and Mila waving at her as they left the school.
