Mila fiddled with the sleeves of her blazer as she hurried to get to the courtyard for Family day. She glanced up and chuckled softly as she noticed the vk's watching Ben and some of her friends dance as entertainment for the adults.
Jay laughed, being the first to notice Mila and ruffled her hair. "So are you always late for every important event or is it just our arrival and this now?"
"Well, I was planning on being late to Ben's coronation but now I decided against it," She joked and ran a hand trough her hair.
"Can we hurry and go downstairs, i've noticed a chocolate fountain," Carlos grinned while Evie and Mal playfully sighed. "Oh heck yes, that's the spirit, let's go!" Mila grinned as she, Jay and Carlos quickly walked down the stairs to the food area, followed by Mal and Evie who were amused at their friends antics.
While the boys were entertaining themselves with the chocolate fountain, Ben went to take a picture with his parents while Mila was looking around for her own dad.
She smirked to herself when she noticed a tiny red dragon swiping a dumpling from the food table and scurrying away towards the hedge maze.
"I'll be right back, you guys!" Mila called to her friends, not waiting for a reply, before running after the tiny dragon. She laughed when she saw Mushu in his humanoid form, licking his fingers clean from the already finished dumpling.
"You know those things are free, right?" She grinned while Mushu simply smirked. "I know, but they kinda wanna stop you when it's your eight and the food has only been served 5 minutes ago."
Mila playfully rolled her eyes and hugged her dad. "Come on, you reptile. I made some new friends who I wanna introduce you to."
Mushu raised an eyebrow and playfully ruffled Mila's hair. "Oh? Someone who my little girl deems worthy of her time, I definetely have to meet them." "Great, cause I kinda already promised you'll make them kǎo ròu." Mila smiled innocently, making Mushu sigh playfully while the two walked towards the vk's.
Mila frowned and looked around when she noticed Carlos wasn't there, but chuckled slightly when she saw him arrive while holding hands with Ben. "So, met the parents, huh?" She teased, making both boys blush slightly. "Yeah, and we're invited for a game of croquet before lunch." Ben smiled as Mushu hugged him in greeting. "Jesus, it's been too long since I've seen you princey."
Mila let her dad and best friend catch up while she grinned at Mal and the others. "Wanna meet my dad?"
"The person responsible for how crazy you are? No thanks," Jay grinned, making Evie roll her eyes and gently slap him. "Joking!"
"So these are the rumored transfer students, I suppose?" Mushu asked. "let's get to know each other between lunch and a game of croquet." "Dad," Mila scoffed playfully. "The last time you joined king Beast for croquet, you ended up smashing a window." "It was on accident," Mushu replied, adding an 'as far as they know' after it with a cheeky wink.
"Sounds like a good idea, mister.. um," jay frowned slightly and looked at Mila. "Do you even have a last name?"
Mila raised an eyebrow in amusement at her friend while Mushu chuckled and shook his head. "You can just call me by my first name."
As the vk's, Ben, Mila and their parents walked to the designated place for croquet, Mila got taken aside by her dad. "Sweetheart, you know I have to ask about what happened between you and Rikki. I gotta say, always thought FG would have to call me for your misbehaviour-" Mushu started, but Mila cut him of with a joke in the hopes he'll forget about it. "Oh yeah, FG had to call you many times. Remember the snake incident in the library? Or when I super glued-" Mila quieted down once she noticed the look her dad was giving her.
