Chapter Twenty Seven

"I love you too"
Those words made Eddie freeze, he wouldn't of thought that Buck would say those four words to him ever again, but hey - he did, he didn't know though whether or not Buck was saying out of sympathy.
Because here they where, lying on the floor together as Eddie tries to calm himself down.

"Hey, Eddie breath - you're going to make yourself worse, you're winding yourself up..." Buck trailed on as he pulled Eddie into him, so Eddie was leaning against Bucks chest - he was quick to start running his hand through Eddie's hair to help calm him down.

"Wouldn't think I would ever be in this position" Eddie gasped as he chuckled to himself as he dropped his head back, enjoying the feeling of Buck brushing his hand through his hair.

There was a nice silence between them both as Eddie's breathing slowly came back to being almost normal.
"Hey it's okay to let your guard down sometimes and show you're emotions" Buck whispered. Eddie just nodded, enjoying the feeling of being back in Bucks arms for the first time in a four months.
"But Ed's, we really do need to get you to hospital - and I know full well you aren't going to be able to make it to the car, so I'm going to call you an ambulance... no ifs or buts, this is final" Buck finally spoke out.

"As long as you come with me" eddie finally nodded, Buck would do anything right now to get Eddie to be checked out... so this was the only way to do it, to go with Eddie.

"Alright, as long as you promise - if they want you to stay in then you'll stay in hospital, and I will stay with you hopefully - depending on who is working as your doctor" Buck negotiated with Eddie, as he looked over at his phone - dialling 9-1-1, in hopes his sister would answer.

"Fine..." Eddie mumbled, as he started to play with the hem of his shirt.
"I'd do anything just to be with you again you know Buck" Eddie finally admitted as he looked around slightly dazed as the adrenaline started to wear off, Buck could see this, and he knew he would now need to keep Eddie talking as his brain started to process the injuries he had sustained.

"Yeah, well if we're doing this together - then we are back together okay, I love you and never stopped loving you - everyone at the fire house was wanting to know when we would get back together, they missed our relationship..." Buck smiled, tapping Eddie's face to keep him awake.
"And the best part of it all Ed's, is that I do want to try again with you - all of this was a stupid mistake, and I've never stopped loving you okay..." Buck quickly spoke out, as he heard his phone starting to ring out.

"9-1-1 what's your emergency" Buck heard from the other end of the phone.

"Oh hey, my boyfriend - he got jumped and he's in a kinda bad way, the adrenaline is slowly wearing off and it looks as if he's about to go into shock... there isn't any ribs that have punctured a lung yet, but I think if I do any sudden movements that could be a possibility that could happen. So I need an ambulance down here quick and Athena Grant, she'll know who I am - tell her it's Evan Buckley and Eddie Diaz, she will know..." Buck ordered down the phone.

"Okay, I'm guessing your the famous Buck - Maddies brother." Buck hummed in response as he started to get a bit more forceful with the taps to Eddie's face to keep him alert.
"I need you to keep him awake, do not let him close his eyes. I've got your team on the way to you right now. ET is about five minutes out okay. But I know you already know this but do not, under any circumstances move him, is there any other injuries"

Buck quickly moved his hands down Eddie's body to check for any bleeding, but there was nothing - just bruises, with possibly some internal damage.
"I don't think so, maybe some internal around his stomach, looks rather bruised and is solid - he has a gash on his head which I think is from as he's came down to the floor he's hit his head on the corner of something sharp."

"Alright, your team should be pulling up right about now"

Buck sat up slightly noticing the lights reflecting off the windows from the ambulance, soon enough Chim, hen and Bobby come in - looking rather confused to what had happened.
"Thank you so much, my teams here and looking after Eddie - take care, bye" Buck snapped quickly, before ending the call so he could put his full attention to his team and Eddie.
"Hey Eddie, stay awake just a little longer okay?" Buck nodded to himself as he saw Eddie struggling to keep his eyes open.
"Hey no, no,no - you've got to stay with us now Eddie"

"Eddie, what the hell happened here!" Hen gasps, as she placed the medical bags down as she started to pull everything out that she may need, while Chim started attaching the Heart rate monitors to Eddie.

"Eddie im going to need to cut this top off of you, so I can stick these sticky pads onto you okay? Just to check your heart rate and your blood pressure!" Chim spoke rather loud so the semi-unconscious Eddie could at least try to communicate.

"Buck I need you to lie him down flat okay - be very careful with his neck okay... I know he's been moving around and everything before we arrived but now we're being very careful" hen motioned to Buck who looked some what panicked about the whole situation.

"Here, put this on him" Bobby called passing Buck a C-collar.

"Is this really necessary?" Buck shrugged, looking down at Eddie who was on the verge of passing out still.

"Yes!" Hen and Bobby snapped at the same time, which made Buck go even faster to put it on Eddie in the first place.

"Okay. Okay, that's done" Buck spoke quick as his mind slowly started to fill with so many questions, which made him want to either shut down or carry on doing something to keep his mind from exploding"

"Hey Buck, I know you're getting overwhelmed in that head of yours, but you need to keep yourself under control okay - Eddie needs you" Bobby finally stopped Buck from pacing by placing both his hands on either shoulder, stopping Buck in his tracks.

Buck looked up at Bobby with panic in his eyes - he knew these past few months where all a lie and that in fact he was holding back his feelings once again.

"I really do love him..."
