2 years later...

"Eddie you ready to go?" Buck shouted from the kitchen.

"Yes just getting ready!" Eddie shouted back, soon enough Eddie made his way towards Buck. "Hey, told you I wouldn't be long"

"I was just testing you" Buck smirked, turning to look around at Eddie. "Well hey baby" Buck sighed, opening his arms, "haven't you grown overnight!"

"Buck, you saw Leveah literally yesterday, she is our daughter after all." Eddie rolled his eyes as he passed the 14 month old over to buck.

"Like I said, I was testing you... I can't believe it - time is going by too fast babe, isn't it Vie"

"A whole year and 2 months of you not being a danger magnet, you know you love this." Eddie smiled, taking in his husband and child. "And the team are loving it too, not having to run after you, being a dumbass all the time."
Buck snorted, shaking his head, "Where is Chris anyways, is he still in his room?"

"Yes... yes he is, I sent him up there while we was waiting on you two to do some of his college assignments" Buck smiled, kissing Eddie on the cheek. "He'll be down in a moment, but first, little veah here needs to try some of daddy's famous pancakes!"

"Don't tell me you've tried to copy Bobbys pancake recipe?" Eddie laughed, knowing full well Buck wasn't the best cook in the world.
It was only last week that he nearly set fire to their kitchen trying to cook eggs.

"Are you trying to say I'm a bad cook! Are you trying to bring up the whole eggs and setting fire to the kitchen again. Everyone at the firehouse won't let me live that one down now you know" Buck scoffed as he put Leveah down into her high chair where the pancakes drizzled with a bit of syrup sat cut up ready for her. "Eat baby" he sighed, running his hand over her curly hair.

"No, you keep bringing that up you know" Eddie crosses his arms as he looked at the pancakes. "Seems like you've done a good job, Leveah seems to like them." He nods, smiling up at Buck who looked proud of himself.  "You like them baby!"

"Yah! Dada, eat!" She held out a piece of pancake for him which he declined.

"I sense there's a but coming..."

Eddie sat there wide eyed, "there was no but coming actually. I was just going to say, I'm trying these myself to be the judge of that"

Buck nodded, watching Eddies every move as he took a bite of the pancake. "And?"

"I must say you've outdone yourself, I wouldn't mind eating these again."

"Ha! Now... I think you owe me an apology." Buck smirks, crossing his arms as he leans against the kitchen counter. "Because, after all you did call me a bad cook, but I just proved you wrong."

"Well I'm sorry baby" Eddie laughed, "Are you ready for today?"

"Hell yeah, Im ready for my baby girl to be the life of the party - she's going to love it. And let's be honest, we're going to enjoy it" Buck smiled, leaning over Eddie, kissing him on his cheek.

"I can't wait to tell everyone"

"Me neither, there gonna think we're crazy - but we love crazy." He whispers back as he glances over at Leveah who is mumbling to herself while trying to feed her most recent favourite doll pancakes.

"I wouldn't have it any other way, our lives will always be crazy" Buck sighs, leaning into Eddie more. "I love you."

"I love you too"
