I had quickly gotten used to my new routine and it was quite simple, really. All I had to do was go to the cafe every day at nine a.m. and finish at three. Then on my way home, I stopped at the grocery store if I needed to, and then I had my daily talks with Harry.

I really loved working at the cafe, the girl at the counter, whose name I learned was Marigold or Mari as I liked to call her, and I got on well. She was nice and I was pretty sure we were friends. I mean what else would you call someone who you spend the whole of your shift talking with and ogling customers with.

Speaking of customers, the cafe brought in a decent amount of them, it wasn't usually full but there were a few usuals who were probably the only reason the cafe was still open. Working there still didn't really earn me as much money as I needed so I usually had to cut back on some expenses. Especially the junk food I usually buy.

It was hard at first since I was so used to it but it got easier but sometimes, for the sake of my sanity I managed to get by with a bag of chips or a packet of candy.

My talks with Harry were the highlight of my day. Honestly, I was always counting down the hours until we would meet on the roof. Lately, though, it was harder for us to do so because of his band. They were quickly becoming popular and although I haven't met his bandmates, I listened to their first single and it was really good. It made sense that they were becoming so popular when they had such an amazing song.

Still, it ruined my day when I would sit on the roof for hours alone because Harry didn't show up. So, I had told him to exchange numbers with me so I would know when he wouldn't be able to come and have our usual chats.

So, today as I was standing behind the counter, blowing a piece of my hair off my face since I was bored I wasn't surprised when a text came in from Harry saying he wouldn't be able to make it today. I haven't met with him all week and I really want to sound clingy but I really missed him.

"Boyfriend flaked again?" Mari asked, probably seeing the disappointed look on my face.

I rolled my eyes, "He's not my boyfriend," I told her for the hundredth time.

"To-may-to, to-mah-to," She grinned.

"Go watch Criminal Minds or something," I scoffed.

One little-known fact about Mari is that she has an obsession with Spencer Reid, some might even say that she thinks she's married to him because they have the same last name but hey who am I to judge?

"Gladly," She said, pulling out her phone.

I scoffed and went back to staring at the text. Why did I feel so hurt when he couldn't make it? I'm not the only person in his life so why did I have this nagging feeling?

All my thoughts quickly vanished when the bell rang indicating someone had come in. I looked up to find a blonde man with blue eyes who couldn't be much older than I was. I instantly recognized him as one of the guys from Harry's band but I didn't know his name.
