I hummed quietly as I prepared breakfast

I hummed quietly as I prepared breakfast. Harry was asleep and I had taken up the mantle of preparing breakfast so he could rest. I wasn't quite as experienced as he was but French Toast would have to do.

I heard a grunt from behind me and turned around to see Harry rubbing his eyes and looking incredibly sexy with his messy bed hair. I was immediately snapped from blatantly checking him out when he cleared his throat and let out a 'Are you gonna keep staring, love?' My face turned red and I immediately went back to making the food, giving no indication that I heard him.

Once it was done and he had gotten ready for the day, I placed the food on the counter and we both dug into it.

"I thought you couldn't cook?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he swallowed down the toast.

"I never said that, you're just a better cook than I am," I replied.

"At least we can both agree on something," He said, with a sly smile and I gasped in faux offense.

"Oh, by the way, there's going to be a Halloween party," He said and my eyebrows peaked in interest.

"Oh really?" I rested my face on my palm.

"Yes, that's just what I said. Anyways, we can show off our costumes there. So, can you please tell me what it is?" He begged just like he had been begging all week. He was putting his hands together in a praying motion and jutting his bottom lip out, adorably. I was this close to giving in.

"No, you're the one that said I could do whatever I wanted, so, I'm doing what I want by making it a surprise," I said, nonchalantly.

He groaned, "When I said that, I meant you could do whatever you wanted with the type of costume."

"Oh well, you can't have your cake and eat it too," I grinned.

He grumbled something incoherent before his eyes lit up, "Oh yea, I can't believe I almost forgot, we're going somewhere today in a few hours."

"Where?" I asked in interest.

"It's a surprise," He said with a wicked grin.

"Harry," I groaned.

"You can't have your cake and eat it too," Was all he replied, shrugging nonchalantly.

I groaned, wracking my brain for any clues about where we were going but came up empty.

I guess I was getting a taste of my medicine.
