I woke up with a groan, my memory was fuzzy, and my head was pounding. My hand blindly patted the spot next to me and I heard a muffled groan.

"S'not even seven a.m. yet and you're trying to injure me," He said. His voice was deeper, his accent thicker, his words slower than usual and it had a slightly teasing tone to it.

"Sorry," I muttered.

"It's fine. Why're you up so early?" He asked.

"Work," I said, simply as I got out of bed.

"Ah, the soul-crushing bondage of adulthood," He said and I snorted.

"When did you get so deep?"

"I've always been like this, you just chose to ignore it and focus on my rocking bod."

I raised my eyebrows in confusion, I had never heard Harry talk to that. I turned around to face him and slapped my hand over my mouth in order to keep from laughing.

Harry was asleep and was currently sleep-talking. And I, being the genius that I was, whipped out my phone and decided to have some fun with it.

"Nah, I think Carl next door has a more rocking body than you."

He shot out of bed so fast that I was surprised he didn't get whiplash. His curls flew over his eyes and he blew at it in frustration before using his hand to push it off. "How dare you, Lori? I feel so betrayed," He said, before lying back down and muttering about how he had to kill Carl. I was slightly concerned.

I stopped recording and started getting ready for work, occasionally bursting into laughter when I remembered Harry's little show.

"And then he said he was gonna kill Carl!" I choked out, relaying the story to Mari.

"Oh my God! Send the video to me," She said, laughing.

I brought out my phone and sent the video. My eyes found another contact of mine and decided to send it to him, a wicked grin on my face.

The bell rang, signifying that someone had entered the shop and I put my phone down in order to attend to them. A young man, one of our usuals, walked through the door and straight towards the counter.

"Good morning, what can I get you?" I asked.

He looked up at the menu, eyes squinting in thought, "Can I get a dozen donuts to go? Six chocolate-flavored ones and six strawberry-flavored ones." He asked, and I nodded, before looking around for the package. There was none.

"One second, please," I told him, before walking to the storage section at the back which also doubled as the storage section for workers. I picked up a few packages from the box they were kept in and returned to serve the customer. When I handed it to him and he paid, giving as much as a nod, he was gone.
