Jordan:
There they are, the small gang of people who put up with my… mcarm-ness? I lower my head as I walk towards them.
“Good morning, Jordan!” Beams Natalia, coming in for a hug.
“Morning Natalia,” I almost whisper. I close my eyes, sighing. Why does she always have to hang around with me? I don’t want to hurt her.
I walk up to the two guys; “Hello, Chris, Andy,” I croak, my voice barely audible. Natalia pokes me.
“Hmm?” I think to myself as I turn towards her. Her flowing strawberry-blonde curls sit on her navy dress, nothing seemed out of place.
“Smile, Jordan, pretty please?” She seems to positively sparkle as she speaks.
“Oh, right, sorry...” I mumble and feign another smile; I have forgotten what real smiling is like.
“That’s what I like to see,” she smiles, her eyes dazzling, her voice genuine. I back away.
“I-I-I have to go…” I stutter, and run off, my brain running wild with thoughts, and impossible decisions.
