-Mikey is mentally numb and an outright murderer in bonten era. So dating him wasn't really akin to a healthy relationship. But you knew what you were getting into when you decided to give him a chance.
- He has no financial boundaries and would gift you anything you'd lay eyes on. Occasionally he'd get you gold or diamond delicacies like he was giving out candies.
- He smiles rarely, and always has a permanent darkness under his eyes. But when he's with you, he'd let that little smile stretch on his lips and the little crease fold on his lids
-Mikey would come to your apartment in the middle of the night, visibly exhausted, and simply watch you as you fret over his unattended injuries. He'd be too shy to admit wanting to fall asleep with you by his side, so he just waits until you offer him to.Sleeps the best those nights. He prefers physically meeting more than calling. And his texts are usually short unless he's really out there writing you some important notice.
-Sometimes kakucho texts you on his behalf because he's too busy.
-As apathetic as he might appear, you know by being with him that he's so vulnerable that it hurts. So once in a while when you tell him encouraging words and motivate him to go on, he embraces you and presses his nose on your nape to hide the emotions that covet his face.
-He can't express himself all that well, and he tells you that frequently but you can see in his efforts that he's really trying his best.
-Would ask you if you ever regretted saying yes to him. Your answer is always the same but he finds it hard to believe that you'd stay with someone like him. Since he's almost always insecure about himself.
-When he's not in his right mind, and you try to persuade him on something when you know yourself that any further words and he'd snap. He'd no doubt point his gun at you- and immediately regret it afterward.
-He wouldn't say anything but you know he'd never hurt you, and that he always keeps the safety lock of his gun on whenever he's with you.
-Mikey wouldn't want to take you to any meetings because most of them end up in bloodshed. He's very strict about it and won't take any objections. But give him some time, he'd know that it's alright to let you accompany him.
-Mikey doesn't show his feelings that much, he doesn't expect you to be alright with that either. Maybe after a few arguments and break-downs, he'd try his best to express any feeble emotions he could in front of you.
-But he doesn't cry in front of you. Even when the hurt is too much, and you're crying on his behalf- he doesn't utter a single word. You'd wished he would though, because maybe he'd feel a little more human if he did.
-Would definitely make you sit on his lap like a queen during bonten meetings as he interrogates some fugitives. Still will try his best to not kill anyone if you're here.
-"you're lucky I have someone close to me here, or you'd have had your brains out on the floor already"
-He zones out once in a while because of something that's stressing him out. You'd have to push him a lot to make him tell you his concerns. He'd repeat that "it's nothing" and even if he tells you, it'd be very abbreviated. "It's just some moles in the gang"
-If he hurts you, he's absolutely regretting it right the next moment. Would incessantly repeat 'i'm sorry' so that you don't end up leaving him.
-He's very scared of that.
-The first time he kisses you, he says, "it must be awful kissing a monster huh."
-you don't even hide how that hurts you, so he averts from saying anything as self-deprecating as that from then on.
-bonten Mikey is definitely not a piece of cake. it's a rollercoaster dating him.
-i think one thing that still hasn't changed between touman Mikey and bonten Mikey is that both like sweet desserts. I think he'd still have a stash of dorayaki/taiyaki in his room. And he's eternally grateful to you for routinely filling them up.
-shares some with you as a token of his affection.
-sometimes doubts how you even like him, much less something as vehement as love. He's once told you that, "I wouldn't be surprised if I'm not...enough for you."
-You'd need to constantly remind him that no, you're not making any sacrifices, and nor are you losing your life by dating him.
-you're doing it because you want to.
-and Mikey's doing it because he wants to too.
-no doubts, you're one of the most precious people in his life and someone he holds very dear. which sometimes might become a bit obsessive, but i think it's solvable if you both talk it out.
-unless you really can't.
