Alex's POV
I was pissed at that Jackson dude for calling Audrey my newest whore, and the very second he was out of her sight, he was taken care of. I don't do girls like that. I've never had a whore, and if I'm being honest, I haven't fucked anyone besides Audrey in the last three years. Sure, I played around and flirted, but never went far. I thought that I would've but I just couldn't.
I laughed when she snapped Jackson's arm. Pure power radiated off of her, confidence and deadliness that she hadn't had three years ago.
For most of the day I tried to show people how to beat Audrey, but none of them did. She was just that good. I glanced over at her, seeing her roll onto the mat, taking a person down with her. She rolled her eyes as the person fell on the mat, and I could tell that she was getting frustrated at not having a challenge.
Some things never change.
My head guard approached me. "Mr. and Ms. Yule are here, sir." I nodded, dismissing the guard. I had invited James to come to training, knowing how interested he was in the mafia, but I refused to recruit him. If he was going to be a part of my mafia, he would not be in the dangerous part. He would handle the tech, communication, and computer things. It's not that I cared for him, but rather I knew that Audrey would not want anyone from her family to see the darker side of the mafia. I didn't expect him to bring Levi.
James came into the room, grinning and looking around curiously. Levi followed, I mentally groaned when I saw that she had died her hair a platinum blonde. She spotted me and then ran at me. My guard attempted to hold her back, but she pushed past them, throwing her arms around me. The force of her body almost made me fall over, but I pushed her away as fast as I could, feeling like throwing up.
I peeled Levi off of me, praying that Audrey hadn't seen that. I almost groaned out loud when I saw Audrey disappear into the bathroom. She looked mad, and I was almost intimated by the power she gave off. James patted my back as Levi took off into the crowd, outrageously flirting with people. I was tense at the touches, un-used to it, but I forced myself to relax.
"Aron, please get a few of my guards to follow Levi," I said, smoothing over my face and hoping I didn't show just how annoyed I was with Levi. Audrey didn't love her as much as she loved her brother, but I knew she still loved her.
"How is she?" James asked, getting straight to the point. He folded his arms across his chest. I sighed, rolling the sleeves of my dress shirt back and taking time to think about my response.
"I think she is slowly starting to remember things." I began rolling up the other sleeve. "She's grown to be my best soldier. She's been living with Zenna for the past two years." With my sleeves rolled up, I flexed my fingers, my stiff joints popping. I want to get into that ring with Audrey and show these little boys what a real fight is, but I'm not sure I would be able to keep myself from fucking her. I see the way the boys here look at her, and it's taking everything in me to not show them who she belongs to. I need to send someone skilled to fight her soon, otherwise, she is going to hurt one of these people so badly they won't want her teaching them. I could feel energy literally running through my body. The energy that I would eventually use against Audrey to show her a real fight. Even if it's after everyone is gone, I know she is going to need something to get all this frustration out. I told her once that I would be her way of coping, and she doesn't remember it, but it doesn't make it any less true.
James nodded, scanning the crowd for his sister.
"She went to the bathroom," I added. James nodded.
"Thanks for giving me those tips. I can't tell you how many people I have had to fight off of Levi." James turned back to me, and I saw the glimmer of a ring on his hand.
