Stepping out of the car, she spares a look at me, with so many questionable emotions shown by the brown eyes.
"No, his name doesn't make me smile. Neither does your name."
_______________
Eunwoo's POV
I knew she was lying, the way she immediately turns her back, walking rapidly back to the house, hoping to appear as a heartless woman, avoiding trouble again.
You might be heartless since you gave it to me.
I drive away once I see her figure disappear into the house compound. My sight double check the possibility if she would steal glances but it was a waste of time.
I watched the woman I would die for walking away from me, making her own way, not even sparing any glance at me.
The tough lesson I was taught after everything happened was I need to love what life gave me to the fullest before life teaches me how to love what I have lost.
"It's okay, it's not my decision to make."
Mina's POV
I stare as Eunwoo drives away from the opening the curtains have left. My heart picks up this unbelievable pace, so fast that I could feel it beating against my hand.
"I can't believe your ego is that high."
I turn to see Ji Chul leaning against the wall, a half finished apple in his grasp as he shines a mocking smile that somehow burns my heart.
"What you are doing right now will totally break his heart." A crunch noise followed after his warning as he takes a bite of his apple which shaken my feelings a little.
I let out a cynical laugh, a fake smile cracked open between my lipstick tainted lips.
"Oh, didn't know he has a heart." I shoot my words to Ji Chul but my smile drops when I see him smiling mockingly. I wish I can just rip his mouth off his face.
"I have a lot of regrets these days, but having this stupid conversation tops the list, Ji Chul. You're not helping in any way."
He throws his what's left of apple into the trash next to the table and lets out a fake sigh as if he understands me.
"I am helping, so another help is offered right now. Put on your shoes and go back to him." He blurts.
"Don't try to deny that the man is no longer worth for you to die for." Ji Chul warns me once again but this time I'm not backing off.
"He is not worth even a smile from me yet I gave it to him. He doesn't even think I'm that worthy for him to bet his life on." I click my tongue in annoyance.
"If he thinks you're not worthy, he would have thought twice before putting a life in you that will soon become his responsibility." Ji Chul's states, with his eyes still stuck on my face.
Taken aback by his ridiculous suggestion, I stare in disbelief the man that had me locked up in the past but now he's offering me some sort of freedom that I do not desire anymore.
