Chapter 6

Recap

I looked around, remembering the memories that this park kept safe. I glanced over to the swings. The ones where I made my new friends. I sat down at one of the swings which I remember was the one I was sitting on. I stared at the ground tracing the dirt with the tips of my shoes. Then I heard someone say "Hi", when I looked up I already found two hazel eyes gazing down at me.

I took in his features. He had breathtaking hazel eyes, brown hair, and a cute smile, I found myself falling for. His gaze was familiar, I felt like I knew him from somewhere but I just couldn't remember from where. He was wearing khakis, a galaxy sweatshirt, light blue vans, and a black sweater thrown over his sweatshirt.

I could feel the air surrounding us, suddenly cooler than earlier when I was walking. And stupid me not bothering to bring a sweater in case it got colder, all I wanted to do was run away from my problems but I forgot that temperatures also change and I can't run away from that. I shivered and wrapped my arms around my shoulders. I guess he noticed because he asked "Are you cold?" I shook my head, "I'm fine."

By the look on his face I knew I failed trying to convince him. He started taking off his sweater and I knew where this was heading to. "Oh! Um no, I'm telling you I am totally fine!" I reassured him. But once again he didn't believe me. He leaned close to me and put his sweater over my shoulders. His fingers slightly brushing my arm, sending heat to my cheeks. He smiled and sat on the swing next to me and said "I'm Matthew, but most people call me Matt." His name was really familiar too. He looked at me, gaze locked with mine. "Oh um I'm Natalie." I mumbled suddenly feeling extremely nervous.

His eyes lit up with excitement. "Wait aren't you a famous youtuber and apparently a close friend of Christian Collins?" He asked, a gleam of hope shimmering in his eye. "Yeah that's me." I weakly smiled, remembering what happened earlier. He smiled and said, "I've watched some of your videos before and your really funny!" That's when everything came together and I knew why he felt familiar, "Oh my god! Aren't you Matthew Espinosa? The viner and youtuber!?" I exclaimed. "Yup." He chuckled, "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!" I yelled.

"Are you gonna start fangirling now?" He raised an eyebrow. "No, but watch out you never know when I am." I elbowed his arm, "But I can't believe I finally met my favorite dinosaur! Everyone says they are all dead when clearly one is sitting next to me." I dramatically waved my arms in the air. I smiled watching him laugh. His laugh is adorable, just like his smile. "See! I told you, you are funny!" He grinned. "Whatever Matt." I shook my head, smiling.

"Oh and guurl your feed on instagram is GOALS." He empathized the 'goals' part. I laughed and took out my phone, "Want to be part of it?"His eyes widen and he put his hand over his heart, pretending to cry. "Oh my god Natalie how can I say no? YES!" I laughed and we tried to take a tumblr picture by setting up my phone on a tree branch so our whole bodies could come out in the picture.

I set the timer on ten seconds so the picture could take itself, I stood beside Matt just simply smiling, meanwhile Matt panicked because he didn't know what pose to do. "NATALIE I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE OH SHIT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MY LIFE ANYMORE. I CAN'T EVEN OH MY GOD." He ran around in circles while the timer was at seven seconds. I burst with laughter at his face when I heard the camera go off and the picture was taken.

"Oh my god what I am worried about is how the picture came out." I reached up for my phone and clicked the picture. Matt walked over and stood beside me, in the picture, Matt was running around, panicking like a total freak and I was laughing. We actually came out pretty tumblr-looking. "See girl, we got this, we are slaying in that picture." We locked gazes with each other before bursting into laughter.

Suddenly, interrupting our laughter, my phone started to vibrate in my hand. It was Lizbeth calling me, he gestured me to answer it. I sighed and lifted the phone to my ear. "Hey." She quickly answered saying "Hey, can you come back? We need to explain some things." So much for the good time I'm having with Matt. "Oh did you two finally calm down?" I thought about all the yelling and it just made me feel like I am responsible for them fighting. "Yeah we did, but where are you?" Matt started playing with my hair while I answered, "Ah, just- I'll be there soon, okay?" She sighed and said "Okay bye."

I hung up and turned to Matt, who was finishing a braid he made with my hair. "You know how to braid?" I asked him, kind of shocked to know that. "Yeah I actually do." He chuckled. "Oh, well I have to go so I'll see you some other time?" I stood up. "Yeah but you should give me your phone number so I can text you, hun we are bestie's now so we have to keep contact." I laughed for the millionth time. "Okay Matt." We exchanged numbers and he hugged me. We waved goodbye and I started walking towards my house when I noticed that I was still wearing his sweater and didn't give it back. I turned around seeing he wasn't at the park anymore. So I slipped my arms into the sweater, put my earbuds in and walked home.

Hi guys! I know, I know it's been soo long since I've posted a new chapter to this fanfic. But it's all because my phone is just shitty af and so I don't really have a phone right now so I can't update. And also because SCHOOL, ugh I know right, it's terrible, that place is terrible. But school has kept me really busy these past few months with all these exams and stuff. So I finally took my end of grade exams and I am freeee but sadly I still have 3 days of school left and then I AM OOUT. I have this notebook where I write new chapters and I have new chapters written in it so I will type them and edit them on my laptop whenever I can. I will try my best to update as much as I can over summer, on my laptop but when I get a new phone, that is when I will update more often. Thanks for being patient with me, ily.
