First thing first; Disclaimer

This is a Fan Fiction and therefore I want to make it clear, I don't own any of the Marvel Characters; Avengers or Xmen, they are all property of Marvel Comics but any other charcters and the plot are original.

"Don't forget you'll always have to keep your wings hidden out there, child."

"Yes professor, I know, and thank you for everything." I awkwardly hugged him; Professor Xavier was the father I never had and the mentor I needed. I gave my 'siblings' one last wave before I walked toward my future. Which in this case was the car that had been sent by Stark Industries to pick me up ready to start my job there, but before I could reach it I was approached by a muscular long haired blond man and a slight dark haired man.

"Miss. Roberts" The dark haired man stated as he held out his hand. I took it and asked

"And you are?"

"Beg pardon, I am Thor Odinson of Asgard and this is my brother--" he started but was cut of by

"Adopted, more handsome brother, Loki of Jotunheim." He amended with a flourish as he lifted my hand to his mouth and kissed it. Thor shook his end at his adopted brother's behaviour and continued

"We are here to escort you home to Asgard." I abruptly pulled my hand from Loki's grasp.

"Pardon? My home has always been here until today from now on my home is an apartment in New York." I responded a little rudely.

"What he means to say is that your biological family would like to meet you." He stressed biological as though he knew that would make me go out of curiosity, let's just say it's a good thing I'm not a cat. Loki chuckled,

"Are you ready?" Thor asked, holding out his hand.

"I need to speak to the professor postpone my New York flight--" Loki held up is hand,

"All sorted, the professor says be vigilant." As he said the last words the professor also said them in my mind. Suddenly a thought struck me, telepathy! In my peripheral vision Loki nodded. Infuriated that he invaded my privacy I allowed my fire to fill my thoughts affectively blocked him out and giving him a headache in the process. He winched. Then with a smug smile I took their hands.

Their transport felt like falling out of the sky, been there done that. I used my hidden wings and steadied myself, this earned my a strange look as I landed lighted as the crashed to the floor rolling to their feet.

As we walked to the door the guard gave me a look of surprise and bowed. I nodded in return unsure of their customs. When we exited the clockwork dome Thor made a grand gesture to what lay before us and said proudly

"Welcome to Asgard." Once we'd walked down what looked like a shimmering pathway we reached the city. Well, that's what I take it to be. Every surface was polished gleaming gold, but in the style of the Vikings. A woman a little older than my 21 years ran towards Thor and hugged him tightly.

"I missed you so much. Did you know you were gone a whole week! I thought you were only going to be a few days," she mock chastised him.

"My dear, seven days is a few in this instance," he answered matter of factly.

"Jane! I'm heavily pregnant I simply cannot keep up with you!" Another youngish woman approached us, as I saw her struggling I picked her up with my telekinesis and placed her gently. She looked to Loki confused. He raised his hands in mock surrender,

"Not guilty," and pointed at me.

"Thank you," she bowed her head, "I'm Lady Sif of the Warriors Three, but as you can tell I'm a little preoccupied at the moment." She caressed her bulging stomach.
