"Multiple familial matches in the system." Coulson read aloud as he pulled up the three files, "Thor, Loki and Tony Stark."
"Does it tell you what sort of relation?" I wondered aloud.
"No but each type of relation has a different percentage, so we can find out. So..." Pepper paused as she brought up a table on her tablet.
"I can save you some time; Thor and Loki are my Uncles, my mother was their half-sister; Loki's Mum and Thor's Dad. My mother wrote explaining it to me," guiltily I continued "I just thought she was mad when I first read it three years ago."
"A few years ago I'd have agree with you," Coulson said "but now anything can happen," he sighed.
We arrived at the private airfield and pulled into a hanger. Must be nice to have money; cue internal sigh. I put my shields back in place so not to freak out any staff as we got out of the car to see the Stark Industries Gulf Stream waiting for us.
"I phoned ahead when I found out there would be a delay," Pepper informed us.
"This is where I leave you Pepper, Liz," with that Coulson shook her hand and nodded to me. Suddenly an advanced fighter jet materialized next to the Gulf Stream.
"Thank you for all your help," Pepper said "I couldn't have tracked Liz down without you," she then leant forward and whispers something in his ear. He looked shocked,
"You're sure?" He asked, starting to walk away. "Is it possible that Tony--"
"No." Pepper cut him off. He walked toward the jet.
"Thank you, Pepper," something had caught Coulson off guard be he seemed to have been reassured.
"Look after yourself!" She shouted to him as he got on the fighter jet. Surprisingly it lifted off inside the hanger before becoming invisible again and leaving the hanger, my telekinesis felt it move.
"It's a quinjet," Pepper answer the question I hadn't asked, "Shall we?" I nodded in reply and we boarded the Gulf Stream. I allowed my shields to fall again, I've decided if the professor trusted Pepper enough to bring her into the Institute, I can trust her.
"Why don't you head back there and freshen up after all you'll be meeting your brother in a few hours."
I did as she said and I changed from yesterday's suit to jeans and a t-shirt. Don't judge me, I thought I was starting work but I'm visiting family, therefore it is appropriate.
In between that and landing I spent some time wrapping my head around all I had learnt yesterday. I hadn't slept for hours but I wanted to meet my brother before I hit the hay. Despite it being eleven o'clock when I got back for Asgard, travelling to the airport and having been on the plane until six the following morning.
Once we arrived at the airfield I lifted my shields again only to drop them again inside the town car which was waiting for us. We got inside and a voice spoke,
"Miss Potts I have a message from Mr. Stark for you, he is dealing with some business and was unable to meet you, he will however be at the tower to greet you."
"Thank you JARVIS, he's Tony's electronic butler," she explained to me quickly. I didn't know what was wrong with me, I was tapping my hands were sweaty. Goodness' sake what is wrong with me?!
"Are you alright Liz? You seem a little nervous," Pepper spoke with genuine concern. Nerves of course!
"Does he know?" I enquired.
