"What do you fancy?" Steve asked as we were walking to the kitchen come living room.

"I don't know, but I'm starving." My stomach chose that moment to demonstrate a whale's mating call.

"How 'bout a BLT?" He asked completely oblivious.

"Sure but no lettuce and no tomato." I replied. He shrugged giving me a confused look and I felt I had to justify myself, "what?! Salad is rabbit food." I crossed my arms over my chest as emphasise.

"In which case, would you like sauce on your BLT minus the lettuce and tomato?" He asked getting the bread out.

"Just tomato," I answered while I started to fry the bacon.

"Don't you use microwave?" He asked surprised.

"Believe it or not there are still some people around who can cook without the aid of a ready meal or a microwave." I laughed.

"Crispy or burnt?" I asked a few minutes later.

"Crispy," Steve said holding the bread ready. I put the bacon on the bread and added a little red sauce to mine, then he cut both sandwiches in half.

"Could you marge-butter another two slices of bread please?"

"Sure." He put down his half eaten sandwich and did so.

"Another one?" He questioned my appetite.

"Normally I would but I haven't got time this is for Tony," I smiled waiting for him to cut it. I then picked up the plates including what was left of my own sandwich and left Steve in peace,

"See you later." I was humming happily to myself as I walked well hurdled and dodged my way across Tony's lab to his workbench.

"Don't move!" He shouted.

"Why are you making a bomb?" I asked concerned for the safety of everyone in the building, "or did you find one? Can you disarm it?" I asked beginning to get impatient. He turned around with his magnifying glass head gear on making his eyes look hilarious. I just managed to stifle my laughter that was until he said,

"No I dropped one," he said pointing to the remaining sapphires on the desk and began crawling around on the floor looking for it, as in nose to the floor like a dog. He was just under his desk when he shouted "Gotcha!" Got up too quickly and smacked his head on the underside of the desk.

"Got what?" Pepper asked coming down the stairs.

"One of my earrings that I lost the other day he finally found it," I laughed casually placing myself in front of his workbench with the tiny reactor core several sapphires on it.

"I see you're feeding him," she said pointing at the sandwich in my hand. I nodded. "Well as you've done my job for me, I'll head back upstairs and Tony make sure your done tinkering by 19:30 sharp I don't want to lose our reservations, again." She emphasised the last word.

"Sure Pepper," he said from under his desk still rubbing his hand and whimpering like a lost puppy, which only ceased once Pepper had left and he muttered something about she could have kissed it better as he crawled out.

"Eat." I directed as soon as he was on his feet. "How's it going?"

"Well the core's on and stable, it also wirelessly charges any compatible devices which are nearby for example her phone." He explained pleased with himself.

"Need help?" I asked.

"Just hold to sapphires in place they keep jumping out," Tony sulked. I did as instructed and we were done by 17:00. He placed it carefully into the Tiffany box and kissing me quickly on the forehead dashed to get changed.
