A nice interview with another upcoming writer, Amrahsalisu. Her answers were exact and simple. This was how it went.👇
Interviewer: How would you describe yourself using one word?
Amrah: I'm an explorer.
Interviewer: Nice. Is being a writer a gift to you or a curse?
Amrah: It's a gift.
Interviewer: Why is that?
Amrah: Thanks. Because so far, I have met so many new people because of my story. People have praised me and I feel acknowledged.
Interviewer: Beautiful. It feels awesome to be acknowledged and adored. How long have you been writing and how did it start?
Amrah: Walahi it is awesome, you feel as if you have gone so far and deep in life. I have been writing for the past seven to eight months. I
was just seated after reading almost 20 stories. I decided to try writing and feel how it feels, I might blow and I did with my friend's support. That was how it started. Now writing is like a hobby of mine.
Interviewer: Oh, how wonderful. So it hasn't been up to a year.
Amrah: Yes. It is not.
Interviewer: What's the most surprising thing you've learnt within your 8 months journey?
Amrah: You have to be patient as writing requires time.
Interviewer: How many books have you written and has any of them impacted something positive in your life or other people's lives?
Amrah: One so far. It has because I feel like I am the one in the story, And people that have read my story said it has impacted something in them.
Interviewer: Fabulous. What is the title of the book and how did you come up with the storyline?
Amrah: Bahija's Married Life. I just started writing and it made sense then I made the storyline.
Interviewer: Who's your favourite author?
Amrah: Husna Nasir. She's the best.
Interviewer: Okay🙂. Have you ever received negative comments from people? how did you deal with it?
Amrah: No, I haven't received any.
Interviewer: Lucky you😉
Amrah: Thanks.
Interviewer: What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Amrah: Wattpad and friends.
Interviewer: Do you have a specific writing or reading routine?
Amrah: Yes.
Interviewer: What's it like?
Amrah: I make sure I read up to 10 chapter's every day. I try to update after three or four days unless I have an exam to write.
Interviewer:
Sounds like a great routine to me. Keep it up.
Amrah: Thanks.
Interviewer: You're welcome. What's your favourite genre and why?
Amrah: Romance. I just find it interesting.
Interviewer: I have one more question before we go. Are you ready?
Amrah: Yes.
Interviewer: Where's your favourite place to write?
Amrah: In the parlour on the three-seater sofa.
Interviewer: Girl, I love that. No sugar coating whatsoever. Some would have unnecessarily garnished up their answer to this question but you chose to say it the way it is. Bravo.
Amrah: Thanks. Nigerians for you.🤣🤣🤣
