Yasssss, I know this is a huge surprise for some of us. After a long break which wasn't intended at all but born out of my laziness, I'm finally back, hopefully for a longer duration. So I'm here to ginger up your week with an awesome interview that I had this evening with another promising writer here on our very own Wattpad. She's not so new to this app and I suppose some or maybe a few of you might know her, especially those of you that her friends with her. Let's see how the interview went with Aishakabirbala8

Interviewer:
Can you briefly introduce yourself to the house?

Aisha:
Yeah! Am Aisha Kabir Bala, All known as Amira, I'm a Hausa girl from Katsina. Am an introvert, but Wattpad is trying its best to make me an extrovert😂 Am currently in Senior Secondary School Two, science. Writing and reading are more than just a hobby to me.

Interviewer:
Interesting. Can you tell me something exhilarating since you began your writing journey?

Aisha:
Yeah! You know when I started writing novels, it was just like a trial, so when I wrote my first novel, 'The Destined Being' in a book, many people started saying I should continue writing that I have the talent, you know, it's exciting.
Also when I started having votes on my book. That's an exciting part of the journey too.

Interviewer:
I know that thrilling feeling. Some of my friends were also my motivation to start writing on Wattpad. They really encouraged me and I'm grateful I took the step. My journey here so far hasn't been completely void of challenges but those challenges have been my greatest reasons to keep on striving for the very best. And yeah, writing here has given me thousands of opportunities and all and I have no regrets at all so and I pray never to. 😊

Next question, what's your favourite genre to read and why?

Aisha:
😊my favourite genres are Romance and Tragedy. I just enjoy reading romantic novels, then I also like Tragic stories. They both touch Heart you know.

Interviewer:
Yeah, those two genres are filled with emotions that touches the core of one's heart. I also enjoy novels that depict strong emotions. I believe that I tend to learn more from it than just the random hilarious themed stories.

How many books have you written? Which is your favourite?

Aisha:
I have written 3 books, 'The Destined Being', The beautiful ones are not born, A voice for the voiceless and What Happens Next, but only 2 are on Wattpad and uncomplete also. A voice for the Voiceless and What happens Next are my favourite that's why they are on Wattpad

Interviewer:
Nice. I have read both and I like them.

Is there anything that compels you to write? Or you just do it whenever you feel like it without anything necessarily compelling you to.

Aisha:
Okay, thanks. Yeah sometimes I just write when I have nothing to do, but when am writing poems, it's different, my mood determines what to write.

Interviewer:
Okay. Where or what do you source your inspiration from?

Aisha:
From my readers of course, then my father, he always inspires me and also a cousin of mine (Bilkisu).

Interviewer:
Aww, so basically your family and friends inspire you but then, how do you get inspiration to write something. When your head feels so blank and your mind is like an empty page, what refuels it with ideas?

Aisha:
I

read the last chapter I have updated.

Interviewer:
Okay, that helps though. What does literary success mean to you?

Aisha:
It means alot, but its like what you achieve through your writings and the rest.

Interviewer:
Yes. To me, I believe I have achieved literary success when my book comes out in the best way possible. To me literary  success is more than just my book getting published. Real literary success is when my book is known in the world for how it has changed lives and is related to everyday circumstances of people. Literary success is when I am known as a writer, an author that has left a graceful mark in the world. The list goes on and on like that. And what I might consider as a literary success might be different from yours. My list and definition of a perfect outcome of ones book or ones writing career is quite long and I might end up just filling the whole page with it. So I'll stop here 😊😇.

What's your favourite childhood book?

Aisha:
'No food for Eme' and 'Raila the sugar girl'.

Interviewer:
How lovely. What one thing would you give up to become a better writer?

Aisha:
Anything possible. But like what?

Interviewer:
It depends on you. Probably something you know will make you better if you give it up. Like for me, it's procrastination and laziness. And maybe writer's block if I had wer or control over it. 😹😹😹

Aisha:
Oh okay😄☺

Interviewer:
It's been a great pleasure interviewing you. You have good potentials. Keep that in mind. God bless.😊

Aisha:
Thank you. You too😊

That was how it went. What do you all think about the interview? You can rate it if you want. Please, let's all check out her books and show her some support. Stay blessed
