This is my first attempt at story writing, so do not be too critical, everything has a beginning and after I get the hang of it, I will give you entertainment to die for. English is not my first language so please give me some slack.

In my haste to upload, I did a poor job of editing. Please forgive me.

Prologue

In deep space, too deep for technology at this time to fathom, existed a spiritual realm that held balance to everything in the yin and yang pattern.

The evil and the good. Unlike the yin and yang where the two states complement each other, the forces in play here were in opposition for dominance.

Galong represents the good and Geelong; the bad.

The high priest of the Geelong, bad, had this terrible desire to take over the universe and have the Galong bow to his rule. But the state in which they were held in balance made it impossible for one force to dominate the other.

In another section of the universe existed the seer. His existence was the reason that held the two forces in balance as he had equal portions of both the evil and good.

On several occasions, the Geelong visited the Seer in an attempt to find out whether there was any possibility of overall dominance being possible of one force over the other. But the answer was always the same; the seer being neutral could not unbalance himself by holding one force in the majority over the other. It was impossible unless the force desiring dominance infects another being, and not a spiritual one, thus doing will be able to dominate the rest of the universe through this being. The additional occupation in another being would give the force added strength over the other.

The condition that would bring success to this venture would be determined by the subject picked on. The subject should have a spiritual nature in line with the force intending to take over. If good, the subject should also be good, if evil then the subject should also be evil.

Both the two forces had been told of this condition but the Geelong never got satisfied and were always looking for a way out of the dilemma. Not in need of instability, the seer knew of how the problem could be overcome but hoped none of the two discovered the way out.

Chapter one

Life had always been boring to Peter; everyone seemed to find something enjoyable in life. Not him. Life was a boring routine, wake up every morning, breakfast, bus ride to work and worst of all, work. He was depressed. All around people seemed to be having a good time. But not Peter. He had 'googled' the 'net' for solutions to his problem, and sought medication but had no way out. His friends advised him that his problem was in his mind. He should change his attitude towards life and things would change.

"Get yourself into some activities, that should keep your mind occupied on something instead brooding on the negatives of life." Advised many.

"Get yourself a girl, man. Get laid. By the way, I have never seen you with a chick, or you're gay? I better keep my distance cos I hate those weirdos who go for their kind." Teased another.

Even both in primary and secondary school, Peter was a loner, bullies even kept their distance.

The only time he had come close to having a semblance of life was in secondary when he befriended a classmate. Moses Kiprotich, Kip for short. The pair shared the same passion for music novels and solitary existence. They would spend hours just sitting in silence not saying a word burying themselves in their worlds of imagination. The saying that goes by something about beggars and horses did refer to these two. Unfortunately, their companionship was brought to an end when Kip had to be transferred to a low-cost school after his father passed away after being hit by a hit-and-run driver leaving his mother being the sole breadwinner. A day school near their home area was the only option for Kip. Peter was deeply devastated and they both shamelessly wept as they said their farewells. The rest of the boys looking on at the sad affair did not affect the two.
