Chapter twenty four

The Galong were perplexed by the turn of events. They could feel a certain loss of power in their spiritual system and could do nothing about it. So they went to the only place they could go for answers.

“Peter is still not fully aware of his extensive powers but is getting there. Since he started using it, he was been exhausting himself and to make matters worse, working with Naomi is overstretching his strength. The only way out of their dilemma is to make love but since they get so exhausted by the end of the day making love unfortunately is never on their minds. Its seven months since they married but have not consummated their marriage and that will be when Peter’s abilities will finally be unlocked. The love making they have been having in spirit is not enough, they have to go physical, after that, is for him and Naomi to come and have me fuse their spirits here as a couple. An earthly marriage is not enough for them as they will begin having adverse side effects resulting from the unfused spirits.”

“The question is, how will Peter know of your existence?” The Geelong asked.

“When time comes, he will find me.”

That statement worried the Geelong.

The seer’s exit went unnoticed as they two Geelong and Galong were deep in thought over the possible outcome of the upcoming events..

Alice got a job as Mary’s personal assistant to take off the load that was bending her over as now she had become a wife and a mother. Peter recommended her and she did prove her worth beyond anyone’s expectations. She was a born organiser. It took her a week to familiarise herself with her surroundings and then she delved into the thick of things. Michael was equally impressed. The system software took her under two days to muster and the place was up and running without the need for both Michael and Mary. Alice’s former boss was employed as the IT Director as he had the necessary skills and Paperwork. Life had just been unfair to him like the graduates who end sweeping the streets after failing to acquire a job from lack of a godfather. With the increased income, Alice was forced relocate her residence. Mary insisted that she move into one of the posh neighbourhoods near the office and she made plans of purchasing the house she got via a mortgage.

Alice’s mother almost fell off her stool when Alice was chauffeured in, in a Dark blue Toyota Prado one Sunday afternoon. Alice’s daughter hesitated before she ran into her mother’s arms and was rewarded with goodies she had only seen on her grandparents black and white TV. The Solar panel they used was weak and during cloudy days, they barely were able to watch the news bulletin to completion. Alice would change all that. With Peter and Naomi’s help, Life would certainly be different in the village. The goods she had come with were quickly offloaded and kept in the Timber kitchen that showed signs of giving in to terminate attack. Word reached her father that a strange vehicle had come into his compound so he made haste to made sense of the news from where had been with his old time friend. His shock was complete when saw his daughter Alice dressed and looking like a miss Universal with her daughter in her arms. Next to them offloading the contents of the vehicle was a man in black suit and wearing a cape like of a policeman.

His jaw almost hit the ground.

Life had just begun for Alice and her daughter.

The whole village came to witness the new status of their daughter. Now she was wealthy, she was theirs but when she was a single mother, she was an insult to the village. She had brought shame as was their belief but now everyone was falling over themselves to greet her.

Initially the driver was assumed to be the ‘lucky’ man but Alice clarified that he was an employee to serve her mobility needs.

“Where did you get all this money?” Asked her father. Other elders had the same question. They were worried that their daughter had taken into bad vices from desperation to make it in life.
