“We are surely in trouble.” The Galong spoke aloud.

The seer just nodded.

The couples woke up to their astonishment. The house was spick and span. Sparkling clean also its contents.

Clothes were clean to a point they looked brand new. Stains on walls or clothing  gone. Shoes where in perfect condition.

“Peter, what happened last night.” Naomi asked the equally confused husband.

“Search me. I have no idea. Wow! This is amazing.” He responded.

“Kids, you better get out of bed and see this.” Mary shouted from outside the door.

“We are coming mother, we thought that it was just in our room.”

As they got out of their bed, they noticed a very big crimson red mark on their bed sheet. They looked at each other with amazement then walked out to come face to face with an excited woman and  her husband hovering in the background.

“Can someone explain to us what is going on.” Mary asked.

Before anyone could answer, the house help walked all excited and with a look of worry on her face.

-          Now what? Peter wondered. Earning himself a prod in his ribs from Naomi.

“Madam, please you didn’t have to clean-up the kitchen. In your condition is not safe to do the kind of work you did. I know am maybe you see me as not very clean, but honestly I cannot reach that level of cleanliness.” She wailed.

“Martha. What are you talking about? We have just gotten out of bed.”

“Come and see then.” She lead them downstairs into the kitchen. As they walked, they could not fail to notice the state of cleanliness of everything. Window panes were completely smudge free, curtains and window sills devoid of all not meant to be there. The carpet they walked was brilliantly clean. But the kitchen took their breath away. No wonder Martha could not see the condition of the rest of the house. The room had been polished. New items in a shop would have looked old in comparison. Mary love her kitchen and she believed it was vital to keep it at its best. Her friends and commented on its cleanliness  before but this was beyond anyone’s wildest imagination.

She moved onto a chair to give herself a rest as the events were mind boggling. She almost moaned with pleasure at the comfort of the seat.

“Peter. Any ideas?” Michael asked.

“None at all. I just hope that it’s not a dream.”  He answered.

“It better not be!” Mary shouted in obvious alarm.

“Easy mother, this is the dream of everywoman. I wish mine could be this super.” Naomi wrapped her arms around her seated mother.

“Something tells me that we will not have a problem with finding clean clothes for the graduation ceremony.” Peter observed.

The gardener showed up at that moment, very perplexed.

-          Now what! Naomi.

Peter smiled.

“What’s funny?” Michael asked.

“It’s about what Lewis is about to tell us.”Peter  said.

They all looked at Lewis.

“Don’t tell us the compound has been swept.” Mary said.

“No ma’am.” Lewis began. “It has been washed.”

They gave him one long stare of disbelieve before trouping out to witness this clean-up. As sure as day is light and night is darkness, the scene was like that from a fairy tale book. The compound was “New”. Clean spick and span, polished no words could capture it. Pavements were like laid just then but even better, they were clean, the trees looked like they had just sprouted.

“Peter, surely must have something to say about it.” Mary posed the question to her son-in-law.

“Mother, I truly don’t know but can we move inside we discuss this privately?” He suggested.

They were all in agreement but the house help and the gardener were left out of the meeting.

Once they got settled down in Michael’s study behind closed doors, Peter begun.

“Last night Naomi and I made love for the first time and the stained bed sheets is a proof of that. During our bedtime activities, we experienced weird sensations of being transported around the room, out of it and into space. Am not sure that I was not imagining it.”

“No you didn’t, cos I was there with you every thinh happened as you have said. Am still confused as it was so unreal yet so real.” Naomi confirmed Peter’s statement.

“So all this has to do with your love making?” Michael enquired.

“Yes I believe so.” Peter suggested.

As it was getting late in the morning, going to 8.30 am, they decided to first attended the graduation ceremony then discuss the events later. And true to Peter’s earlier predictions, all their cloths were clean and ironed neatly just as if they had just been purchased, shoes likewise. Mary was surprised to find her favourite pair of shoes that she had outgrown could fit her comfortably. Michael also made some discoveries of his own.

Outside they found the driver in a trance. The reason was because the MBW he had always known was not the same anymore. The sleek metallic green machine in the garage was not the vehicle he had always been driving. The tyres never seemed to have touched the ground. The plate numbers were the same but spotlessly clean. The interior was equally mesmerising. He dared not open the door as the vehicle was intimidating.

“Ok, more surprises.” Michael said.

“Sir, what did you do to the car and when as it was not like this last evening when I closed the garage doors?”

“Let me say, that we are still trying to figure things out. For now you services will not be needed for the whole of this week. You can take a leave of absence to be with your family.”

“Thank sir, I was wondering how I would ask for it especially after I had come recently from a very prolonged one when you were away. I had started a venture at home and it’s still incomplete. I truly appreciate it.”

“Then why are you still standing here? Get back when you are through not a day before.” Mary told him.

There personal employees were highly paid and had a very flexible work schedule. Never harassed but did their work with true dedication for its wonderful having an employer that treated employees like family. They were the envy of many and would not have dreamt of letting them down.

The driver left hurriedly in his well pressed suit and highly polished shoes. No one asked him about his improvement in his hygiene as they all guessed how it came about. He initially had come to mention it to the rest of the staff but the condition of the car dried up any other agendas from his mind.

The team cautiously entered the vehicle that had a very new smell to it. The light grey interior colour of he seat covers and doors were scaring clean. They almost removed their shoes before getting in but their shoes were equally clean.
