Peter and Naomi were relaxing on their pleasure cruise, a luxury boat that they had purchased with proceeds from the rapidly expanding investments. They both had put a pause on their education to give themselves time to get to know themselves and their new environment. But schooling they were definitely to resume.

They lay on the deck reminiscing on the past events that had occurred since their great grandparents had passed away. The day Mr. Abdallah had decided to bypass the trusteeship and hand over his property straight to Peter and Naomi had elicited a lot of heated debate. But the old man was adamant. His decision was final even his wife of many years could not make him see reason as they saw it. Peter and Naomi were just kids, they would be robbed blind by the manager and accountants.

“My decision is final, Michael and Mary, you are the parents and experienced in the world of business administration, keep an eye on them but as I have declared, they will have full control and ownership of all the business affairs as pertains my business holding. As I advised Cecelia do the same so as they can amalgamate the two and chart out an efficient way of administering them.

“There is something you are not telling us Abdallah.” Cecelia declared. “What new piece of information or enlightenment have you received in order for you to come up with this decision?”

“Just take my word; the two youngsters can handle a greater load than what we are handing over to them.”

“I don’t know what is going on here but it’s very intriguing. If the way I knew you is still the way you are, than am forced to go with the decision.” Michael declared.

“Darling you are sure?” Mary asked.

And he nodded.

“So am I. I will go by grandfather’s decision.” Mary also declared.

Cecelia had no choice but to tow the line.

And that is PEWANA Investments private limited company was born was born. Peter as the Chairman and CEO Naomi  as the Managing Director.

They converted the penthouse in one of the Hotels into administrative offices for the CEO, MD and Chief accountant and his team. Peter and Naomi then developed a software that would be used in the administration of the new company. They had all the offices interlinked and centralised, the company’s database with three backup servers to ensure the integrity of the data. The software writing by the two was unique as it had superior performance than any in existence. Like the Linux software, it was virus free but unlike other OSs created, this one took Artificial intelligence to another level. It incorporated accounts auditing features that enable real-time audits. As every computer was interlinked, each transaction as it was keyed in would be check against other related transaction. Falsifying of records was impossible as an error message would pop up on both the offender’s computer and also the senior administrator within the location of the error. The whole system would be frozen till the error corrected.

At first the system harassed the careless and inefficient clerks and even the accountants before they got the hung of things. The improved productivity through efficiency pushed up profits to levels not thought to be possible.

Peter and Naomi invited Michael and Mary to see it.

“I knew granddad had been hiding something that day. When did the two of you get to know so much?” Mary asked them.

“We also don’t know, it just started happening to us.”

“Whatever it is, it surely is astonishingly wonderful. I would be grateful if you could sell us a copy.” Michael said full of admiration for the software. The GUI was super and the graphics quality was mesmerising.
