Hello! It's been too long, here's the chapter you have patiently waited for and I am happy to say we are ALMOST done with the book! I can't wait to get it off my hands, I've been itching to start new books but I am refusing to until I have finished at the very least 3-4 of my current ones. Never am I having this many books go on at the same time ever again lol it's too much and the only person I have to blame is my impatient self 😑 anyways, really quickly, I need Satine cast recommendations! It is not going to be Blake Lively anymore cause.. well, I'm sure everyone understands why. Comment who you imagine would be a good fit!

(Y/n)'s POV
When Anakin finally spoke the truth, I could see the change in him; the burden seemed to lift from his shoulders, and a sense of relief washed over his face. It was as if a heavy weight had been removed, allowing him to breathe freely for the first time since everything happened.
Obi-Wan had called my Dad, and when he arrived, Anakin shared everything into a tape recorder. His voice trembled slightly as he recounted the events that had led him to this point, each word a release of pent-up fear and guilt. Once my Dad finished, he switched it off and tucked it away in his pocket.
"What happens now?" Anakin asked, a hint of worry creeping into his voice.
"Now, you need to rest," my Dad said, giving him a reassuring pat on the shoulder. "I'll handle this. Thank you for being honest; you did the right thing to protect yourself."
Anakin nodded, staring at his blanket for a moment, his fingers tracing the fabric as if seeking comfort in its familiarity. He took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts before looking at me and then at my Dad. "I didn't do it for me. I don't trust them not to come after your daughter."
"She will be safe, and so will you. This situation is bound to create some noise, so I'll have a security team stationed here at the hospital until I can gather everyone involved."
Anakin's tension eased, and I noticed how his body relaxed. "I'm sorry I didn't speak up sooner. I thought they would leave me alone if I minded my business," he admitted.
My dad looked at him with understanding. "You're still young, and this is a tough lesson to learn. People like that, once they latch on, they don't let go. They believe they own you, which is why he reacted the way he did when you turned him down." My dad seemed ready to leave, his gaze shifting to me. "You'll be going home to stay with your aunt. No arguments." He added that last part when he noticed I was about to object.
Anakin had just woken up, and I wanted to stay by his side.
"I'll be here tomorrow," Anakin said with a grin, as if he knew what I was thinking. "And the day after, and the day after that too." They were going to keep him here for a while, maybe even days, depending on how quickly his body recovers.
I let out a sigh; arguing was pointless, I wouldn't win. "Okay," I said, giving Anakin a gentle kiss that felt deep. "I'll be back to see you tomorrow," I whispered, stopping when I heard my Dad clear his throat awkwardly.
"I already can't wait," he whispered back, and we pressed our foreheads together, our eyes getting lost in each other.
What happened before seemed so insignificant compared to now, now I was going to stick by him through this and hopefully nothing will keep us apart again.
💛
The porch light flickered faintly above me as I walked up the wooden steps leading to my front door. I breathed out a sigh as I fumbled for my house keys, before I quickly paused and turned around to scan my front yard. I had sworn I heard steps moving along the concrete sidewalk, but no one was there. Not even a single car on the street.
