Draco's POV-

They all stared at me as I signed and let go of the quill that I didn't notice had broken in half, from holding it so tight.

"You what?" Harry said.

"I love her," I said again. Ron shook his head.

"But this is Theodora Jones were talking about, the girl who has been trying to make our lives worse since the second we stepped into Hogwarts!"

"No, she hasn't."

"She calls Hermione that bad word!" Ron shouted again. I nodded.

"I know she does, Ron. I was there when she said it."

"She's a horrible per- "Hermione started.

"Don't say that! I might hate her right now, but that doesn't mean I'll be okay with hearing you talk about her like that." I spat. Hermione flushed a little, scooting lower in her seat.

"What do you mean right now?" Harry asked. I ran a hand through my hair before shrugging.

"I mean, we were dating... for a while." They looked even more surprised.

"When!"

"How!"

"Where!" I chuckled,

"It all started at the Yule Ball-"

"I knew you were smiling too much then, I knew it." Ron cut in.

"SH!" Hermione snapped, smacking him with her book.

"Ow, alright."

"As I was saying the Yule Ball, after dancing, and the food and everything, I took her down to the Slytherin Common room, and as I was about to say goodnight, she-"

"Kissed you! You told me! I remember now!" Hermione squealed. Harry and Ron both glared at her.

"AND YOU DIDN'T TELL US!"

"I forgot?"

"Would you guys like to tell the story, or should I?" I asked, rolling my eyes.

"No! No, keep going!" Harry said, quickly.

"Anyway, we kissed for a bit, before she left, then she ignored me and told me it was a mistake. I forced her to go on a date with me to Hogsmeade. When you guys were all going to see Sirius in the cave, and I had a fake cold, we went on a date, and then we started going out from there." I smiled.

"But we never saw you do anything?" Harry said.

"I would sneak downstairs to the common room when we were sleeping or said I had to go do something and then spend the rest of the night in the common room with her," I explained, the three of them stayed silent, staring at me.

"I know you guys don't approve, but I don't care! That's why we hid it in the first place."

"I can't believe it. Draco, she's horrible to us," Hermione said,

"Theodora can be very sweet when she wants to be. She just doesn't like you guys at all." I laughed,

"Are you two still dating now?" Harry asked. I shook my head.

"She broke it up with me during the summer. In a two-sentence letter." I said,

"Why? Did she ever tell you?" Hermione asked. I shook my head.

"No, she never did."

"Then that must mean she's a death eater!" Harry said, quickly.

"Will you stop it with that! She's not a death eater!"

"How would you know! You guys broke up before the school year started!"

"God Harry, sometimes you are just too stubborn for your own good." I snapped.

"You are just too blind for your own good! Don't you see! This is an even bigger reason to believe me! There are clues here that you're just not getting!"

"Like the clues to tell you who I was dating!" I snapped,

"I had hickeys the same time Theodora did! We had matching necklaces! We were both gone at the same time!" I snapped,

"That just proves my point. If you don't look at the clues, you'll never see that she's actually a death eater."

"No one believes you? Do you know that? Not Ron! Not Hermione! not me! Just you!" I snapped. Harry rolled his eyes.

"I don't care! I know she is!" I packed up my homework and headed for the door.

"Draco! Wait where are you going!" Hermione yelled,

"I'm going to go see Blaise and the rest of my friends!" I snapped,

"Yeah! Run back to them, again!" Harry yelled back.

---

"If it isn't my favorite Gryffindor?" Blaise said. As I entered the common room, he threw an arm around my shoulder and lead me to where the others were. Theodora wasn't there, it seemed.

"What brings you to my humble... common room?" He asked as I sat down Between Pansy and Theo.

"My friends, getting on my last nerve," I explained,

"Why?" Pansy asked, not looking up from the charms homework she was trying to finish.

"I told them I used to date Theodora."

"Now why would you do that?" Theo asked, raising an eyebrow at me. I shrugged and signed.

"They just kept... saying bad things about her, and I snapped," I explained,

"Speaking of Theodora, where is she?" I asked,

"She's been gone a while. We haven't all hung out since the beginning of the year." Daphne told me.

"What is she doing?" I asked. They shrugged.

"She hasn't told us, something about work, not quite sure," Daphne explained,

"What extra work? I found out that she didn't do her transfiguration homework three times in a row." They shared confused glances before answering.

"We don't know Draco, we told you," Pansy said,

"... You don't think she got a new boyfriend, and that's why she broke up with me?" I asked. They stared at me, before bursting out in a big fit of laughter. I glared at them as they struggled to breathe. Some other Slytherins looked over at us, concerned.

"Nice one Draco!"

"I've never laughed this sober," Blaise said, whipping a tear from his cheek.

"It's not funny! Do you know anything!" I asked, annoyed.

"Stop! Stop! Too much!" Pansy said between giggles.

"I hate you all." I groaned, crossing my arms over my chest and scooting down in my chair, waiting for them to finish. Once they did, they all sat upright, grinning.

"God, Draco, listen, Theodora's only ever liked you. The first year she was angry you were sorted into Gryffindor, and with that Dragon thing, she was just trying to make sure you didn't get hurt, but it backfired, second year she got super jealous when you said someone was hot... can't remember who exactly "Pansy started before Daphne cut in.

"The third year she tried to act all nice and got super jealous that someone else was finding any interest in you. The fourth year you two idiots finally got together, and we've all been happy ever since because it's not Draco this, or Draco that, anymore."

"That's all a lie! If she was so great, why break up with me?" I asked. They shrugged.

"We don't know the answer to that."
