Draco's POV-

"Ouch—ow—gerroff! What the—? Hermione—OW!" Ron yelled as we both covered our faces to protect ourselves. We had walked until we spotted Harry following what we thought was his Patronus, but it wasn't. We watched him get in the lake, but not come up. I jumped in to grab Harry while Ron got the sword of Gryffindor, and we finally destroyed the locket.

"Hermione!" I yelled,

"You—complete—asses—Ronald—Weasley-Draco-Malfoy!" She said, punching us with every word.

"You—crawl—back—here—after—weeks—and—weeks—oh, where's my wand?" She glared at Harry, who out of instinct yelled,

"Protego!" Hermione was knocked backward by the force of the shield. She spat hair out of her mouth before jumping up again. She glared at us, mainly Ron.

"Hermione! Calm down- "Harry tried, but she shook her head.

"Don't you tell me what to do, Harry Potter! Don't you dare! Give it back now! And YOU TWO!" She was pointing at us. I glanced at Harry for help, but he shook his head. We stepped away from Hermione even if the shield was up. Sometimes Hermione could be scarier than anything we were facing right now.

"I came running after you! I called you! I begged you to come back!" Hermione yelled,

"I know, Hermione, we're sorry, we're really—" I tried, but she shook her head.

"Oh, you're sorry!" She laughed, a very high-pitched one.

"You come back after weeks—weeks—and you think it's all going to be all right if you just say sorry?"

"Well, what else can we say?" Ron shouted,

"Oh, I don't know! Rack your brains, Ron, that should only take a couple of seconds—"

"Hermione, they just saved my life! Ron killed a horcroux-"

"I don't care! I don't care what he's done! Weeks and weeks, we could have been dead for all he knew—"

"I knew you weren't dead! Harry's all over the Prophet, all over the radio, they're looking for you everywhere, all these rumors and mental stories, I knew I'd hear straight off if you were dead, you don't know what it's been like—" Ron shouted,

"What it's been like for you?" Hermione shouted,

"We wanted to come back the minute I'd Disapparated, but we walked straight into a gang of Snatchers, Hermione, and we couldn't go anywhere!" I yelled over her loud voice.

"A gang of what?" Harry asked. We explained what had happened after we left, and Hermione calmed down a bit, but she was still fuming.

"One thing I would like to know though," She said, her eyes fixed on Ron.

"How exactly did you find us tonight? That's important. Once we know, we'll be able to make sure we're not visited by anyone else we don't want to see." Ron glared at her before pulling out the duluminator.

"This,"

"The Deluminator?" She asked, forgetting to look angry. Ron explained how we managed to find them, and finally, thinking it was safe, Harry removed the shield charm.

"Did you just say you got away from the Snatchers with a spare wand?" Harry asked Ron, pealed his eyes away from Hermione.

"What? Oh-oh yeah!" He took out his backpack and pulled out the spare wand.

"Here. I figured it's always handy to have a backup." Ron said, and handed Harry the wand. I walked to a spare bed, and laid my stuff down, before going behind the bed, and changing into some warmer clothes, before going back to bed.

---

"I want to go and see Xenophilius Lovegood." I heard Hermione say to Harry, Ron and I sat on my bed, trying to find what to keep and throw away at our food when Hermione had said that.

"Sorry?"

"Xenophilius Lovegood, Luna's father. I want to go and talk to him!" She said,

"Er-why?" Harry asked.

"It's that mark, the mark in Beedle the Bard. Look at this!" She handed him the book Dumbledore gave her, Beedle the Bard, and pointed at something on the page.

"Er—what are you—?" Ron asked as we gave each other confused glances. She, of course, didn't answer us but instead kept explaining everything to Harry.

"It keeps cropping up, doesn't it? I know Viktor said it was Grindelwald's mark, but it was definitely on that old grave in Godric's Hollow, and the dates on the headstone were long before Grindelwald came along! And now this! Well, we can't ask Dumbledore or Grindelwald what it means—I don't even know if Grindelwald's still alive—but we can ask Mr. Lovegood. he was wearing the symbol at the wedding. I'm sure this is important, Harry!"

"Hermione, we don't need another Godric's Hollow. We talked ourselves into going there, and—"

"But it keeps appearing, Harry! Dumbledore's left he The Tales of Beedle the Bard. How do you know we're not supposed to find out about the sign?"

"Here we go again! We keep trying to convince ourselves Dumbledore left us secret signs and clues—" Harry said, exasperated.

"The Deluminator turned out to be pretty useful," piped up Ron.

"I think Hermione's right, we should go see Lovegood." Harry glared at him, and I couldn't help but chuckle.

"It won't be like Godric's Hollow. Lovegood's on your side, Harry, The Quibbler's been for you all along. It keeps telling everyone they've got to help you!" Ron said again, trying to help Hermione.

"I'm sure this is important!" Hermione said,

"But don't you think if it was, Dumbledore would have told me about it before he died?"

"Maybe... maybe it's something you need to find out for yourself," I said, laying on the bed, and throwing an arm over my eyes.

"Yea, that makes sense," Ron said.

"No, it doesn't," Snapped Hermione,

"But I still think we ought to talk to Mr. Lovegood. A symbol that links Dumbledore, Grindelwald, and Godric's Hollow? Harry, I'm sure we ought to know about this!" Hermione said, ignoring me. I scoffed, rolling my eyes.

"I think we should vote on it. Those in favor of going to see Lovegood—" Ron said, raising his hand. Hermione's lip quivered before she raised her own hand. And then I raised mine.

"Fine. Only once we've seen Lovegood, let's try to look for some more Horcruxes, shall we? Where do the Lovegoods live, anyway? Do any of you know?"

"Yeah, they're not far from my place, I dunno exactly where, but Mum and Dad always point toward the hills whenever they mentioned. Shouldn't be hard to find." Ron explained. Hermione nodded before returning to her books.

"You only agreed to try and get back in her good books," I said. Ron nodded, grinning.

"All's fair in love and war, and this is a bit of both. Cheer up, it's the Christmas holidays, Luna'll be home!" Ron said excitedly.
