The Attack

Chapter 18

Diane looks at Neil to see if he is gonna finish his sentence. Neil just looks back at the street. 

"Neil are you ok ?" Diane asked

Neil looked at her and let out a slight smile "Yes im fine just wish we can get out of this traffic and get to the church in time for you to get dress."Neil says.

"Im sure we will get out of this." say Diane

Neil looked at the road and started to think about the time him and Diane spent together. 

FlashBack*

"Diane I can't believe you made it into that school now you can't paint the world" says Neil wrapping his arms around Diane.

"Yeah I can do it with you at my side." says Diane smiling.

A year later after they had that conversation 

"Neil its like you don't even want me to go, this is my dream and you can't even show me you believe in me. " Yells Diane

"Its not like that." says Neil

"Then what is it like Neil, looks see you don't even know what to say whatever I am leaving." Diane said.

That night Diane had boarded a plane and left Neil for good.

End of Flashback*

Diane looks at Neil." Neil are you sure you are ok?" asked Diane

"Yeah I am fine oh look the traffic is moving." says Neil driving away.

They get to out of the traffic and they make there way to the church, as they show up to the church and right before Diane gets out of the car Neil grabs her arm and asks her to stop.

"Please don't go" says Neil

Diane looks shocked for a moment and sits back in the car.

"Neil whats wrong." asked Diane

"Diane I am so sorry about everything " says Neil looking down 

"Neil please lets not do this now." says Diane 

"No Diane it needs to happen now the longer we wait to finally have this conversation the longer we will never know the truth about how we both feel." says Neil

"Neil really please don't make me relive the discussion I had to make, that you made me make." says Diane.

Neil looks down for a second then back up at Diane " No we need to talk about it we both made mistakes and now the time to fix them before it is to late." says Neil

Diane looked away from Neil. Neil looked at her "Please Diane talk to me." says Neil

Ann comes out of the church and sees Diane and Neil still sitting in the car she can see that they aren't having a good conversation so she goes over to them. Neil notices that Ann is coming over and lets go of Dianes arm."Fine " says Neil. Ann gets over to them and start talking to Diane. 

"Diane hey you might want to get inside and change." says Ann

Diane gets out of the car and heads inside as quick as she can not looking behind her, Ann notices this and stays till she is in the  building once she is in Ann goes over an sits in the passenger seat and looks at Neil.

"What the fuck did you do to her?" Ann asked

Niel looks up and Ann " I didn't do anything to her" says Neil

Ann stared at Neil " Stay the fuck away from her Neil you don't do anything but hurt her." says Ann getting out of the car and heading back inside. Neil stood there in the car he ended up hitting the steering wheel with his fist "Damn it" he says.

Ann goes into the church looking for Diane, she ends up finding Diane by the restrooms wiping her face. "hey are you ok?" asked Ann

"Yeah I am good" says Diane trying to keep a straight face.

Ann notices Diane about to cry so she grabs her hand and takes her into the bathroom and starts cleaning her face.

"Hey talk to me whats wrong what happen in the car with Neil?" asked Ann

Diane looked at her " He wants to talk about what happen and I asked not to but he pushed it." Diane says.

"You don't have to worry about him doing that anymore I told him to leave you alone." says Ann

Diane looks at Ann and hugs her. "Thank you this is why you are my best friend."says Diane 

Ann smiles. "Thanks I know" says Ann.
