Jimin's pov
Jimin entered Baristas with a sole purpose. He needed a drink, something strong preferably. Whiskey.
After he finally got his shit together, Jimin managed to inspect his surroundings a bit, not necessarily searching for something, but someone. His breathing hitched in his throat as soon as he felt his presence. The dark-haired guy was there, as if the powers of the universe made a truce that night.
A truce that was about to change lives.
He tried to keep his obvious staring hidden from the other, but he was dying to put a name on the mysterious face. Jimin didn't know when he had become so obsessed or why. Was it because of what he said? Was it because of his appearance? Jimin had to admit, it was hard to keep his eyes to himself for too long, the guy was looking ten times better than the other day.
The only thing that didn't change was the lounge, and the table he was staying at.
Jimin relaxed, repeating in his mind that he came to Baristas to take a break, to stop thinking too much, to ease his mind, to stop the constant worrying. And maybe he could do just that.
"A Heineken please." Jimin heard the mysterious man speaking, closer to his ear and much quicker than he expected. His voice was raspy and had the quality of making Jimin shiver to his core.
He eyed him, because lets be honest, who wouldn't? And started wondering, again, what brought him there. He didn't necessarily want anything from the good-looking guy, he didn't intend to hook up with him, or to get closer, but he needed to know why and how did he have information on the case.
Maybe it was just instinct playing its cards accordingly. But again, was it the detective within himself, or the gay within himself? Jimin had yet to find out.
"Why do you look so familiar? Hmm." Jimin blurred out without thinking, literally, surprising even himself. "Are you alone here? If you join me I'll pay for that drink." What was he even doing? He wasn't even prepared to have a conversation with the guy. He was scared he wouldn't keep up with it.
Time to look like a loser in front of the hot guy, go get it Jimin.
"What makes you think I need company?" The hottie replied with a cocky smile playing on his lips almost expectantly. Wow.
You started this, Jimin, now keep going.
"Actually..." Jimin was in full-on flirt mode at that point. He rotated the barstool and faced the other guy, eyes inviting. "I am the one that would like some."
The guy seemed to accept Jimin's proposal because he took a seat close to him, an unapproachable expression still planted on his face, and Jimin almost believed him, if it wasn't for the slightest smirk that escaped seconds ago.
"You said I look familiar. Have we met before?" Started a conversation, and something about his tone told Jimin something was off. However, he totally dismissed that and dived straight into the conversation.
Only if he would have listened to his instincts sooner.
"You don't remember? You were about to start a conversation with me the other day. Rings a bell?" Jimin replied with a cocked eyebrow, tone challenging. He didn't even know what game he was playing, but it thrilled him.
At that point, Jimin felt like an animal trying to seduce his prey.
It couldn't be the other way around.
"Oh, I think I remember." The guy replied, mouth slightly agape, eyes looking more comfortable as he now realized they had met before. He rolled his eyes in response.
