Taehyung's pov

It wasn't like Taehyung wasn't expecting to feel weird being all alone in a cell, but it didn't necessarily bother him. He was fine with the silence.

Maybe he needed to be alone during times like that.

Why?

Anxiety wasn't something new to Taehyung, but the recent events amplified the uneasiness. He was scared for himself, his brother, his family, and Jungkook. The position he was in was disadvantageous, he couldn't do much to save any of them.

There was so much bottled-up frustration, always ready to be spilled on the first person that came into view, therefore, the fewer people around him, the better.

He needed time to think, as to understand what was about to happen.

And he had been alone for such a long time already. No one talked to him since Jimin asked about Yoongi and the whereabouts of the microchip.

He was now curious. What was Yoongi's plan? What did he do? Will something bad happen to them? To Jimin?

Taehyung cared a lot for Jimin. So naturally, he wanted him out of the question, he wanted to protect him. Yoongi had used an unexpected strategy Taehyung knew nothing about; he trusted his brother, and he wouldn't have done something unless he really thought it thoroughly.

So there was a huge conflict going on right now between Yoongi and Jimin. Taehyung was intrigued, what was Jimin going to do?

If Yoongi threatened Jimin with the whereabouts of the software that could mean Yoongi used Taehyung's plan. The plan implied suggesting the detectives a deal for them all to work together in order to find out who's behind the poisoning game.

It was a plan Jungkook and he meticulously prepared during the last days of their freedom in hopes of striking a deal with the detectives, before it was too late and the CIA caught up to them.

Other than that, Taehyung felt sorry for Jimin; His heart ached for his friend.

It wasn't easy to accept the fact that he had to betray his best friend, but Taehyung knew that it was the only way to assure a situation that wasn't dangerously close to a frightening ending. He had to accept the consequences.

A Jimin's friendship in return for their lives.

There was no time for crying or suffering, though.

Taehyung only had time to brace himself for either them getting handed over to the CIA or, preferably, the detectives offering them a deal.

Apart from those thoughts, Taehyung's mind was, and would always be, filled with one person and questions about him: Jungkook.

How was Jungkook coping with the situation? How well was he handling the feelings? He was the only one who didn't know absolutely anything about what was happening outside of his cell, after all. He was the only one out of them all who was interrogated only once.

That was draining up Taehyung's mind. He really hoped, that Jungkook was well and trusted him and Yoongi to get them out of this situation, sooner rather than later.

While lost in his thoughts, Taehyung heard some steps approaching his cell and decided to stand up and check if he was getting a visitor. To his surprise, it was Detective Kim Namjoon.
