Jimin's pov

Jimin took a few deep breaths before opening his eyes completely, taking the entire view before him in.

They had finally arrived in front of one of the most grandiose places that Seoul had to offer, finely dressed up for the masquerade that was about to take place, both literally and figuratively.

The building itself was massive, antique, and exuded a sophisticated aura. The walls were of a cinnamon, tawny brown, that you can only see on the old, most exquisite buildings. It was surrounded by lavish sculptures, noting that the place was created only for the rich to lay their eyes on.

The magnificent, blurry windows stood high and soaring, not only protecting the insides from curious eyes, but also from danger, made of bulletproof glass, gatekeeping the greatest secrets that Seoul had to offer during nights like this.

The construction was surrounded by a stunning, sinuous fence, which appeared to be there only to add ambiance to the beauty and design of the building.

Jimin knew better than that, though. He knew that the fence was there to protect the inhabitants from possible danger from the outside, too.

Good for those who wanted to be protected, bad for those like Jimin, who might have needed a quick way out.

And let's not assume Jimin didn't come prepared for the special occasion, with the sole intention of blending with the pompous crowd perfectly. He had dyed his hair a platinum nuance of blonde, conferring him a worth-a-million look . Besides, he took care of his haircut, finessing the undercut and putting on a neat, elegant look.

He wanted to look slightly different from what he did before, so as to not draw further attention to himself. The mask was about to do the rest of the job.

It felt a bit goofy to wear a mask during the 21st century, but as Romeo had explained previously, mobs paid much attention to etiquette and tradition, especially high-ranked criminals. They loved everything to be fancy, upscale, and obviously, unreasonably overpriced.

However, a masquerade was common only for the wealthy community of Korea.

As well as offering details about the party, Romeo had also explained to Jimin and his colleagues that there was a specific etiquette that had to be used around those types of people, around the wealthy gangsters, hiding secrets and lies behind the posh masks.

Speaking of Romeo, he was one of Yoongi's closest friends. Jimin didn't know much about him, though. Just his name and the fact that Yoongi trusted him and asked him for help.

Certainly, Jimin found it quite suspicious, the fact that Romeo accepted for nothing in return. But then again, Jimin was known to be the type to question everything and everyone, especially during times like this...
