"Enough!"
Oliver hissed his words. He looked angry, but afraid. The kittens barely gave eye contact and looked down, frightened on what's going to happen.
Juniper and Livie stopped arguing, but their eyes raged towards each other. It was already evening, and the sun was beginning to set.
Juniper had never seen Oliver this angry nor this frightened. Despite the kits being strays, he knew it was not safe for them to stay on the streets. But Livie did not agree.
Oliver narrowed his eyes. He tried to keep his rage down, but he grew tired of them arguing everytime. Oliver knew that Juniper and Livie would never get along, but this was too much for him.
"I agree with Juniper here, the kittens are too young for this!"
Oliver turned his head, facing towards Livie. She gave him a cold glance, but it didn't bother Oliver at all. Livie wanted to hiss and argue back, but it was no use anymore.
"Fine- we'll just drop them off a cat caged orphanage or whatever you call it," Livie gave up.
A cat caged orphanage.. what? Juniper thought, questioning on what Livie sees the human places here. Oliver, without questioning anything, nodded his head. His frown slowly turned to a smile.
"We'll just have to search one, " said Juniper, calmly. Oliver nodded again, but Livie reacted with nothing.
And so the five kept on walking. While on their way, the kits yawned and grew tiredly. Oliver noticed this, he stopped walking to wake the sleepy kittens.
But the kittens were too tired to walk or stay awake. Oliver smiled as he lowered his head. He carried the two and caught up with Juniper and Livie.
It took hours, but they finally found a pet shop. Juniper knew it would be weird to just drop off two orphan kittens inside the shop, especially when its closed.
Luckily for them, there was a big empty box labled 'puppies' beside the door. Since the cats didn't know how to read, Juniper thought the text meant kittens.
Oliver came in and dropped the kittens in the box carefully. The little brown kitten woke up, she looked around- wondering what was happening.
She looked at Oliver, who was smiling, yet almost crying to her. "Where are we?" Asked the little kit. Oliver was hesitated on what to say. He didn't really want to say goodbye.
"Well, welcome to a place where you'll find a new home," Oliver looked at the little kitten. She was confused on what Oliver had meant. Did he mean the box was their new home?
Oliver chuckled a bit when he saw the kitten's confused expression. "A creature you see with two legs will probably carry you and your brother to a new place you haven't been to, that place will be your new home," Oliver decided to explain it further more.
"But what about you?"
"Don't worry about me, I'll be perfectly fine here!" Oliver smiled.
Livie was impatient. She took a step forward towards Oliver. "Hurry up, will you?" She demanded.
"Alright, just let me drop off some food for them," Oliver quickly ran off and into the bins. Livie watched as Oliver carried two dead rats for the kittens.
As he dropped the meat in the box, the kitten looked at it. It was obvious the little kitten didn't want Oliver to leave her, but they had no choice. They couldn't just keep them the whole case.
"Okay, now let's no waste time and go," said Livie as she walked away. Juniper saw Oliver said Goodbye to the kittens, almost feeling sad about leaving them.
Oliver then joined in, Juniper too. They all kept on walking.
