Imani
When we arrived at Kazimir's Penthouse I wasn't expecting anything unusual. We were there to talk business and what our next plan would be. It was modern and eccentric up here.
I walked around the penthouse as my gaze wandered around the place. The floor were light gray marble. HIs kitchen was black cupboards and Dark Gray cupboards. There were a lot of dark undertones in his penthouse, but it somehow made sense.
I walked towards the window as I looked over the city. The sun was high in the sky and it was only mid day. It was quite hot outside, so coming into the air conditioning was so nice. I felt his presence behind me.
"Alexei should be here soon," he said.
I turned my head to look back at him and he was closer to me than I thought. There was an inch of space between us. I looked into his golden eyes and they peered down at my lips. I looked at his lips and I gazed back up at him. He started at me with a strong intensity that I wanted to pull away.
"Okayy."
He pushed me against the window and turned me around to face him. I gasped a bit and he caged me in. I had no room to move and escape him. He was like a Lion watching his prey ready to feast.
He touched my bottom lip and he grazed my top lip as well. I can't kiss him, I can't fuck him, not here and not now. I can't keep having sex with him. It will blur the lines and I hated blurred lines.
"Kaz," I say, breathily.
"Mhm I like hearing you call me that."
I gazed into his eyes and the golden brown glinted. His thumb was still touching my lips, but my mind couldn't think. I wasn't sure what to do.
"We can't, you can't do this," I mutter.
"Do what?" He asked.
I wasn't sure of what. I just know I can't keep fucking him. It would feel weird and normal. I have never had the same sex partner for too long. Depending on how long I would be around Kazimir, it would be a lot.
I can sleep around him and it wasn't a bad thing, but I didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to believe that a peaceful night of sleep included him. I wanted my sleep to be peaceful just without him. I have felt more rest than I ever have in years.
"Tell me, I will make it go away."
"You can't and that's the reason why I can't do this."
"Is it your sister? The cartel?"
I let out a small breathy laugh. He thought I was talking about them, but it was more than that. His hand slid down to my chin and he caressed my face.
"It's not just that, it's everything," I answer.
The sound of the elevator caught our attention. Kazimir looked back. I was able to see that it was Alexei who entered. He stood there and his face shifted, but he tried to keep straight. Kazimir eased away from me and I felt relieved. He was still close to me though.
"Should I come back?"
"No, we shouldn't wait any longer."
"Mhmm, you're smitten by her," Alexei grinned.
I didn't really have a full picture of what they were talking about, but I knew it was about me. I wished I took more time to learn Russian.
"I am not, just simply intrigued."
"Kazimir, you being intrigued in something is never a good thing," he retorted.
I looked at Kazimir as Alexei said that. He wasn't looking at me, but his eyes glanced at me for a second. He looked back at Alexei.
